Need help creating drop down box so the fill color changes depending on selection choice.

Hi, I have a dropdown box (with transparent fill) set up with names of companies. When a company is selected the fill color of the dropdown changes from transparent to white. This dropdown box also populates a few text fields with the address of the selected company.

I have a script that works for the above situation:

My problem is I also have "(blank) " choice in the dropdown. If the person clicks and choices a company - the fill of the dropdown box turns white. I want to set it up so that if the user decides to change their mind, and choose the " " option, I want the dropdown box fill color to go back to being transparent. Is this possible? Thanks!!!!

Hi, I have been working around the clock on this form - I'm almost obsessed with it because once I create it I know it will save me so much time in the future. I'm using Acrobat X and I have a page that has one dropdown box and 5 text fields. The dropdown box has names of malpractice insurance carriers (over a thousand). When a choice is selected, I need the address to populate in the proper fields.

Dropdown box is called "inscarrier"

Text Fields are: "insstreet", "inssuite", " inscity", "insstate", and "inszip".

I feel as though I've read everything out there to help, and I've searched these forums and tried to find anything that would use similar javascripting...I just keep getting errors. My latest attempt at this was to copy Thom Parker's scripting for Using a combo box to prefill form fields. I used his sample and just replaced the necessary information. I can't understand what I am doing wrong.

I even created these fields in LiveCycle and built actions for each field to do this...but then I can't copy those fields and place them into acrobat. This is a 43 page form I'm working on and I need it to be in Acrobat.

In the dropdown box I used this in the format custom keystroke:

And I was using this in the document level script: ( This is only some of the companies....I have 1,120 companies to list in the dropdown box).

Is anyone able to help me? Where did I go wrong? I would greatly appreciate any help that can be offered.
