Robohelp for Word 7.0--WinHelp 4.0--Corrupt Word File--how to fix??

Hi All--
I think one of the .doc files in my project is corrupt. When
I compile the project in RoboHelp for Word 7, the context sensitive
Help (F1) for all the topics in a particular file does not work.
However, if I take the project out of RoboHelp and compile it in
Help Compiler Workshop--the f1 help works like a charm. Ideally I
don't want to ever have to compile this file outside of RoboHelp,
but I'm kind of stymied. I can't figure out what is wrong with the
file and the error wizard hasn't been exactly helpful. I did
however notice that while the Help was compiling that the message
'removing watermarks' came up right after the problematic .rtf was
compiled (didn't show up in the error wizard for some reason), but
I can't find any watermarks in the file. I inherited this project
(the other writer left before I started here) and it's been a while
(OK like 10 years) since I last worked with WinHelp (converting to
HTMLHelp is not an option) so any suggestions for what I should be
looking for would be appreciated. Thanks, Jen

Single-sourcing with RH

Hi All--
I'm thinking about maintaining all the topics for our
documentation set in one main project since you cannot reference or
'point to' topics in other projects and generate printed
documentation, but I'm concerned about the layer of complexity this
is going to introduce to managing the project. Here are some of the
tags, variables, etc. that I am considering:

*Maintaining separate TOCs for each deliverable (user guide,
online Help)
*Using variables for AppNames, Version Number
*Creating a layout for generating each deliverable
*Creating build tags at the deliverable and print/online
level.

Is this a credible strategy? Has anyone else done anything
similar? Should I simplify it somewhat?
Thanks,
Jen

Assuming you have a high-powered computer, what is the
maximum size you would recommend for a RoboHelp 7.0 project? Is
there a limit specified? Is there a limit for the number of topics
allowed?
method for creating printed documentation--need suggestions

Hi All,

Years ago I created a kludge (using VBA and a Word template)
that takes the output RoboHTML creates and puts it in a Word
template with odd and even headers/footers, fixes the numbering
issue, fixes the bullet issue, and the table issue. It works but
every time a new version of MS Word is released I need to edit--in
some cases extensively edit--the VBA code. My macros currently work
with Word 2003.

That being said, I am wary of using RH for Word to create
documentation. Is my fear warranted? What are its limitations? Its
strengths? I need to create doc for publication.

How about importing FM files? Is that pretty seamless as long
as you are not doing anything too complicated? What has your
experience been? Do you need to run a lot of framescript macros to
prep the fm doc for conversion?

TIA,
