Slide advances without selecting the button

Captivate 8.01.242 on a Windows 7 machine publishing as html5 only output

Probably not seeing the forest for the trees, but here's the problem: I have smart shape buttons programmed on the master slides that pause each slide one tenth of a second before the slide ends. The only way the slide should d advance is selecting all three of those buttons, or using the play bar. All other interactions and buttons are added to the individual slides without a pause set. The way this has worked (until now) is the user can click and re-click every button on the screen without the slide advancing. Now, some slides are advancing after an indeterminate number of buttons are selected/re-selected in any order (between three and five clicks for the most part) without any of the master slide buttons or the play bar buttons being selected.

The actions executed are simple "show" or "show/hide" actions, or "play" for web objects - nothing exotic or very advanced - no variables involved. Its a very simple, linear course.

Any ideas?

MC Question slide advances when an answer is chosen

Cp7.01.237 in Win 7 running IE 9

When I publish the questions, I am getting the following glitch: selecting an answer will cause the slide to immediately advance. Since I can't program the radio buttons, how is the project causing a button designed to assign a value to create a "go to next slide" result?

weird one - using 7.01.271 on a Win 7 machine, publishing html5 only output. The website has never done this before, but we're suddenly getting a cut-off view as follows:

No transitions, no actions on entry or exit - it just shows this section and nothing else on every slide.

Thoughts?

Multi-SCO package is not rolling up

Working in Cp7.01.237 on Win7 using the Multi-SCO packager and loading to the SCORM Cloud.

1. Created a pre-test, content module, and a post-test

2. Published them in SCORM 2004, version 3 .zip files as both .sxf and html5

3. Uploaded to the SCORM Cloud

4. Opened the project and passed the pre-test. The program operated perfectly and the entire package was marked as completed

5. Cleared the results and global objectives on the Cloud, cleared the cache on the browser and launched again, failing the pre-test. The program stopped and would not advance to the content modules as expected.

I'm assuming I'm missing a pre-set that needs to be selected in Captivate prior to publishing regarding the execution of the pre-programmed branching built into the multi-sco packager, but I am completely stumped as to which box to check or uncheck.

Anyone?

Web Object floats, doesn't embed

Using Captivate 7.01.237 on Win 7 Pro desktop, building an html5 only output.

I know simply embedding the videos in the project makes all of the following moot, but due to the constraints of a collaborating contractor, here's what I'm stuck with:

1. Storing videos on Limelight and calling them into the project on a separate server.

2. This project reports completion only on a Sum Total LMS.

The project will not stream videos from Limelight directly, but it will play the videos embedded in a Web Object widget, and here's the problem:

which is exactly what I want to see - a video called in and running inside the slide as part of the presentation, BUT

3. Publish the project (either as a SCO to the page or not in a SCORM packet) and upload it - and I get this after the play button:

This free floating, completely independent windows media player version of the video that either pops up on inside the current slide or not, does not stop playing when the slide is advanced, and does not close automatically when the browser window is closed.

What am I missing here? Or is this just another one of the wonders of publishing in an html5 only world?

Software Simulation Issue

Got a weird one on a colleague's system. When she records a software simulation or a video demo, the file saves as a single slide. The settings are as seen below for recording:

All other settings are at the default parameters. Any ideas as to why she's getting a single slide output?

First - I adore Captivate, anyone wishing to troll the product please start your own thread.

Now - my heartfelt request - which has already been sent a a feature request. (I ask those who also work in accessibility environments to add this request from their accounts as well, the more requests, the better our chances for the feature)

Tab ordering for the buttons was an awesome upgrade, but why did you stop halfway to perfect? Flash allows the developer to set the tab index for ALL the objects on the screen - text, image, animation, movie clip, navigation controls, etc) by simply assigning a number in the accessibility menu:

Add this to Captivate and almost every workaround and kluged fix (including seven tab, ten entry per tab conditional actions) I have had to slap on an otherwise simple and elegant project files disappear. Rollovers and feedback boxes are simply inserted into the reading order without a fuss. Long winded and boring slide notes that are read without pause by screen readers are replaced by easily digested elements that can:

Provide multiple ways to operate the technology and retrieve information so that users can choose alternatives based on their physical capabilities.

Provide support for the assistive technology (AT) that people with disabilities use for improved accessibility.

Ensure that all users have equivalent access to all the information conveyed.

In short, we can give the user a much higher quality, more engaging an interactive experience (read: not just a text equivalent, although it could still be an option) that better reflects the capabilities of eLearning, regardless of their sight, hearing and/or mobility impairments.

If you think this might be valuable, send a feature request to Adobe.

Can you add or edit FLV skins in Captivate 7.01.237?

I went into C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 7 x64\Gallery\FLVSkins and found the skin .swfs. Tried a simple edit (resetting the colors) using Flash, renaming and re-inserting the file in the folder, then restarted my computer and reopened Captivate. Unlike the .swf skins I have been able to create and insert in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 7 x64\Gallery\PlayBars, the new skin did not show up on the drop down menu for event video skin choices.

What am I doing wrong here?

Manipulating variable values to trigger conditional feedback

Working in 7.01.237 on Win 7 Pro PC.

Trying to set up the following:

3 survey type responses on a single slide (think likert with a 1-10 scale)

On completion of all three questions, select a submit button and be given feedback based on a predetermined range for the possible values (between 3 and 30)

Tried setting up three variables (Q1, Q2, and Q3) and having the response buttons assign a value of 1-10 to each variable, then have the submit button total the values of Q1, Q2, and Q3:

and then display the appropriate text based on the number:

no luck. Tried using the Increment action to add to the overall value of Total_Q, then do the show hide based on the new value, no go either.

Can't use "make part of the quiz" because there may actually be a scored quiz.

Any ideas? I think I'm not seeing the forest for the trees at this point.

Tab behavior (and the associated 508 issues) after adding an interactive glossary

I embedded the glossary interactive in my project on the first slide and set it to show for the rest of the project, visible only when the glossary button is selected. This changed the settings on my entire project as far as tabbing. Instead of tabbing to only the buttons and interactives on each slide,the tab button is required to read every text object and image as well as the buttons on each slide.

From an accessibility standpoint, this completely messes up the reading order. What I should hear when I apply JAWS is the slide notes descriptions, followed by a pause. The first tab after the notes are read should take me to the slide objects, which will read in z-order without further tabbing needed.

Is there a setting that I'm missing, or is the glossary interactive DOA for 508 compliant projects?

Reading the slide notes

Here's the deal; Running 7.01.237 on Win 7 Pro. Have to create a project that will read the slide notes (using a screen reader) first, simply because this is the only text equivalent approach the customer will accept. The default setting reads the slide notes first, but when the user uses a tab/enter or keyboard shortcut to advance to the next slide, the focus stays at the point of the action, rather than going back to the beginning of the new slide and reading the slide notes.

What I need is a button that goes the next slide and starts at the beginning of that slide, not from the location of the button (since, by default, anything interactive on the screen is going to be presented AFTER the slide notes). Any ideas?

Creating a new text button Captivate Style file (*.cps)

Probably not seeing the forest for the trees here, but let me explain my predicament:

1. Transparent buttons do not meet 508 accessibility standards for the testing group I'm working with.

2. Image buttons are fine, but it gets to be a pain in the a** having to group text boxes on top of each image.

So here's the deal - Instead of a text button that looks like this:

But I can't figure out how to create it as a .cps file in order to upload it to my project. Am I asking for too much creative control here?

Jaws and Cp 7.01.237 - not BFFs?

Building for a 508 requirement that uses IE and JAWS 14 on a Windows 7 machine using the Captivate 7.01.237 version. I'll state out front that we made 508 accessible pdfs that were given extremely high marks by our mobility and sight impaired user groups, but are not considered other than "ancillary" accessibility by the government tester (not sure why)

Currently running into this laundry list when testing to the SCORM Cloud and applying JAWS:

JAWS reads the variable script in a text box instead of the output (example reads: "$$cpInfoCurrentSlide$$ of $$rdinfoSlideCount$$" instead of "1 of 2" and reads "$$cpInfoProjectName$$$$cpInfoDescription$$" rather than "Lesson1 - JAWS is Evil")
If a button has three states (selected, rollover, and not selected) JAWS reads this as three buttons, and two don't have name, role, and state information.
JAWS won't read the feedback boxes on any question slide, period.
If you set up an action to reveal information after the user makes a choice by selecting a button or menu item, any resulting change on the page is not necessarily read immediately following the selection.
Opening a TOC from the playbar is easy, closing it is nearly impossible in JAWS
An overlay TOC creates an expand/collapse button as a tab on the upper corner of the TOC that cannot be given an accessibility tag.
Accessing a TOC immediately reduces JAWS effectiveness. The focus and flow of the course is lost and cannot be reset - all slides begin at the of the TOC and JAWS reads "end flash" - the only way back to the beginning is to press the up arrow key repeatedly until you reach the beginning of the slide.
Opening a linked swf or document is a high wire act - if you close it and JAWS isn't focused over the open project, it's difficult to get back to the project, let alone get back to where you left off.
Using a glossary widget works, but it's difficult at best to get out of it and close it without running through every active letter and the title and content bars, which gets old fast.
Smart shape buttons can't be accessed without using shortcut keys.

Yes, sent all of this in as a bug report today. Just looking for any ideas/workarounds as I continue to be "that silly old ant, trying to move that rubber tree plant..."

How can I alt tag the TOC button that appears at the top of the menu?

Running the current version of Cp7 on a windows 7 machine.

A 508 hang up once again: The customer insists on an active TOC for the project file. We've activated the TOC and it works fine, but there's a secondary TOC expand/collapse button located at the top of the slide right here:

Although I can change the icon for the expand/collapse TOC in the TOC setting menu:

I can't put an alt tag on the button, meaning that JAWS and other screen readers just reads it as an unnamed button - which would be "bad" if you're trying to pass a 508 compliance test - which I am. I know alt tags don't travel with the image file, and I can't find any way to access the file in Captivate to give it an accessibility name. Anybody have a workaround?

Weird little glitch, and only in one project right now. Using current version of Cp 7 on Windows 7 professional, loading to Blackboard LMS. One project (77 slides) is opening fine, but the playbar (loaded as a separate skin - all of them are) is only appearing after the first slide is on screen for ten seconds. Any ideas? we checked all our project publish settings adn the skin editor - all the settings are the same as the rest of the lessons - this is the only one with this issue.

Re-using a deleted object name

Using 7.01.230 on a Windows 7 professional machine

An annoyance at best but I was wondering why I can't re-use a name for an object or a group if the previous object or group has been deleted from the project. Sometimes, clients want a new/update image inserted on a slide or into a group. I like to keep my naming conventions as short and simple as possible, so why can't I just delete the old image or object, insert the new one, and insert the previous name assigned in the properties tab without seeing this:

just wondering - I know I can add a number to the end of the old name, capitalize, etc, etc - it just seems like if it the object has been deleted, the name should go away too, doesn't it?

Tab behavior changes on slides with supplied interactive widgets

Running 7.01 on a Win 7 Professional desktop.

An interesting anomaly has surfaced in my new projects with widgets that are tab accessible. On the slides containing any interactive widget supplied by Cp7, all of the text and image boxes are suddenly tabbing, rather than just reading in JAWS. The new tab activity was first noticed in an F8 preview, confirmed in F10 and F12 previews, and then reconfirmed in a .swf published to the web, and in a project loaded in a SCORM file to the SCORM cloud. Tried publishing as a .swf with and without html5 enabled as well - same result.

The affected slides tab through all text captions and images, then moves to the buttons and other interactive objects, then the widget, then the play bar. As soon as you leave that slide, the tab order again only reflect the interactive objects on the slide. There is no listing in the tab order menu for the text and image objects, and therefore no way to set the order to allow the user to get to the interactive objects any way other than tabbing through to them.

It's not a show stopper, nor does it affect the ability to meet our 508 standards - but it does break up the flow for a disabled user - any ideas as to why the shift in functionality is occurring?

Button accessibility stops working after 3 slides

Weird one here - hoping its something I did and not a glitch. I have a 37 slide introduction to a multi module course. My client requested a step by step explanation of how to access information of two referenced websites WITHOUT actually going to the websites or using a video or software simulation (just slides with screenshots - don't ask....) We built it using transparent buttons and shared actions and the demonstration works perfectly using the tab/enter combination required fro 508 accessibility for the first 12 slides of the presentation and 3 slides of the demo, then quits being accessible, although the functionality is perfect using a mouse. I checked tab order before and after - there is no difference in the way the buttons tab, and the shared action is exactly the same on each slide:

if the incorrect button is selected:

1. show feedback that instructs the user to click on another part of the screen (correct button which will go to next slide)

2. Show an outline shape of where the correct button is located.

Very simple standard action that created the interaction required. It worked when I ran it in F12 and as a initially published .swf. Now - It simply works perfectly for the first three slides of the demo, then quits. The only thing that changes in the demo e section is the skin/playbar is hidden to require the user to click on the screen to progress.

I'm wondering if this has somehow been messed up due to repeated access of other members of the team to the drive version of the file? I'm hoping I don't have to reset this thing (it's just a pain, not a bunch of work) - any ideas as to what caused this?

Conversions from 6 to 7 - question slides format changes

Running Cp7 on a windows 7 professional set up. Converting from Cp6.1

We began with a question slide formatted thusly:

we converted from Cp6 to Cp7 and ended up with this:

Once or twice, by opening the question properties file and switching between numbers and letters for the answers, we "healed" the shift in the gap between the distractor and radio buttons. However, I am still unable to correct this on a consistent basis and have to correction hold (yes, some files switched back on re-opening after a save) has been to rebuild the questions in a new project - not an optimum solution in a course with 18 modules, 90 lessons with knowledge checks and a pre and post test....

Is there a control or setting I'm not seeing that can reset the gap without rebuilding the test?

Hyperlinks not changing color after access

This seems farly straightforward, but I haven't got a clue as to why this started:

I'm running Cp7 on Windows 7 Professional and publishing to Blackboard. In the past couple of days, I've noticed hyperlinked text was not changing its color after clicking on it in my preview (F8 and F12 previews). I checked some previous projects loaded to Blackboard and all were functioning normally, changing from blue to purple after being accessed. I loaded a new test lesson to Blackboard that had the anomaly in preview, and the link did not change color after being selected in Blackboard either.

I immediately thought it was due to some customization done to my theme, so I attempted the same thing with a stock theme and color scheme. The link did not change color after being selected in preview or in Blackboard on this test version either. Is there some new default setting that I need to access?

Changing the entry point of the TOC in the project

Strangely enough, we have suddenly seen a change in entry and exit of the onscreen TOCs. We have the following settings for our TOC:

problem is, midstream in a massive training course (multiple modules and multiple lessons in each module) the entry of the TOC changed.When we click the map button (our client's choice for the name) has always slid in from the right edge and retracted back the same way. On opening an existing lesson and accessing the editor, the TOC started fading in in the center of the screen and sliding to the right edge, then sliding to the center and fading out when closed. The arrows to move the TOC entrance (above the settings button) are all greyed out and I'm stumped. What the heck did somebody select by mistake that is changing the way this function works?

Blackboard LMS bookmarking settings

We've been stymied thus far in getting our client's version of Blackboard toplay nice with our courses (publishing in SCORM 2004 v 3 from Cp7 with updates). I've tried uploading with the following advanced settings selected:

Accessibility labeling: The "extra" element in a Smart Shape button

Running Cp7 and using the JAWS 14 reader.

We're using smart shapes as buttons on our master slide to access the help/resources/glossary throughout the course. The process was a simple - just created the shape, imported the image and applied it, then selected "use as a button" and created the shared action to open the selected page (see below)

508 compliance is in the form of shortcut keys, since smart shapes are tabbable, but don't respond to the standard "tab/enter" combination. The problem is as follows:

1. We selected accessibility and put the text for use in (see below)

2. We ran the JAWS 14 reader and heard from a series of "ghosts". JAWS picked up the smart shape accessibility text and identifed it as a button, but also picked up unnamed buttons for each of these - which is not a good thing and won't pass 508 testing - can't have unknown/unlabeled interactive objects, even if they don't exist!

3. Thinking we had some glitchy artifact issue, we created a clean blank slide presentation and rebuilt the three buttons to our specs again (no imports or copying - brand new actions and everything!) The result was the same - a set of ghost buttons being read in JAWS 14 just before reading the accessibility text for each button.

Question for the forum - anyone lese had these ghost buttons show up in your JAWS or other screen reader tests when you create smart shape buttons? Anyone have a solution?

Editing text to speech in Cp7

508 accessibility for buttons in LMS

I'm working on a course that has image buttons, image buttons with text, and the playbar. When it publishes, the buttons are behaving erratically, tabbing through and working in most cases, but failing to even tab in others. When the tester exits and re-enters the course, the buttons that did not work start working.

I'm using Captivate 6, publishing in SCORM 1.2 on a Meridian LMS. I can't send the course due to security restrictions. We had an earlier problem with tabbing that was solved by publishing as both a .swf and HTML5 package (no idea why, it just worked).

Cuold this be a simple case publishing simply as a .swf and adding

so.addParam("seamlessTabbing", "false");

to the HTM file, or am I looking at something else here?

508 compliant tables in Cp6?

Setting a Conditional Action for Pre-Test questions: Skipping Content Slides

OK boys and girls, let's see if this is even possible within one course SCO, or if this a multi-SCO solution (which means I'm toast, because we don't have the multi-SCO aggregator)?

I want to set up a prescriptive pre-test. In my ideal world, answers to each individual question would either enable or disable the content slides connected to the question. If the user passes the pre-test, they could opt to skip the prescriptive stuff and complete the course. If the user fails the pretest, they would have to view the enabled content.

Is this even possible in a single SCO world?

Event Video Controls -weird glitch in LMS

I have two courses - one with three event videos and one with five event videos embedded. Everything works perfectly and is completely 508 accessible except for a random glitch that seems to affect the video controls. What happens is as follows:

The tester uses the tab/enter sequence to enter the video and play it.
The video ends and the tester chooses to play the video again without leaving the screen - at this point the play/pause button is still tabbable, but fails to respond to the enter key stroke.

I'm running Cp 6.01.240 and using the Halo_2 skin on my videos. Using any skin with separate play, pause and stop buttons had failed accessibility testing previously due to massive tabbing issues.

I'm thinking this is a server side issue that I need to address with the IT guardians of the LMS, rather than a Captivate fix, since this glitch doesn't happen on the same video or even in the same course. I've aready reloaded and resaved the videos and republished the courses (SCORM 1.2) without the bug simply reappearing in a different video each time. Any ideas?

Captivate 6 tabbing consistency

OK- been looking at the old version of how to shut off seamless tabbing as found on another thread:

Seamless tabbing is on by default. You can turn it off with a simple edit of your published lesson's .html file.
1. Open the html file in Notepad.
2. Locate the line that defines your flash movie. It will look similar to:
  
  var so = new SWFObject("youProjectName.swf", "Captivate", "640", "511", "10", "#CCCCCC");
3. Right after that line, insert this line:
  
  so.addParam("seamlessTabbing", "false");
4. Your code will now look similar to this:

My problem is that line in #2 above "var so = new SWFObject("youProjectName.swf", "Captivate", "640", "511", "10", "#CCCCCC");" doesn't even exist in the Captivate 6.01.240 html file which looks like this:

so - since I have a course that is making my accessibilty tester tab through the LMS window at least twice on each slide before entering the course - will turning off seamless tabbing keep the focus inside the course file? If not - what will?

Cp6 - Test or Slide views for completion question in SCORM 1.2

Running Cp6.01.240 on a current Meridian LMS SCORM 1.2 environment.

I know you can set the Success/Completion criteria to allow completion by "slide views and/or quiz " in SCORM 1.2, but I am not clear on what that really means, so here's a quick one:

Can you publish a course so that the user can choose to follow any of the following paths:

take a quiz, pass it and complete?
skip the quiz, view the content, and complete?
take the quiz, fail it, view the course, and complete?

My intial design thoughts:

Under Success/Completion Criteria:

Select "slide views" at the total number of slides in the content.
Select "quiz is passed"

In Quiz: Pass or Fail:

Set a passing score
Select the quiz as "Optional - user does not have to complete"

In the course:

Set a page that allows the user to choose their path (quiz or content).
Set a final page ("Congratulations, you passed") that closes the course.
Set the Continue button on the Quiz Results page to jump to the final page when a passing score is achieved.
Set navigation button on the last page of the content to jump to the final page.

My initial test course report the course as started, not completed choosing either option. Thoughts?

Cp6 Quiz score reporting error in LMS

Looking for any inputs - this one's a bit strange:

I've been tasked with developing a course that allows the learner to test-out by jumping directly to the quiz. I've set up a series of advanced actions that allow one shot at the quiz without reviewing the course content, and actions that steer the learner back into the course after failing the quiz. All of these actions work, and the quiz score reports correctly each time within the course - the problem is what happens after that:

I leave the course and go to the learner profile on the LMS - instead of 100%, the score is reporting as 75% (4 question prototype). I've set preferences to complete the course and report the score - the course reports complete, the only error is the incorrectly reported score. When I leave the transcript page and go back to the course, the course opens to the last question in the quiz, rather than the last page visited - and the question is not completed. Is this a setting I'm missing on the Cp6 side, or do I need to interface with the IT guys running the LMS? I'm running Cp6 with the most current patches on a Meridian LMS.

Slide advancing after event video

I'm building a course with between one and four event videos embedded on individual slides (slide duration is set at 3 seconds, videos vary between 2 and 4 minutes in length).

The course has no playbar, just next back and exit buttons.

I've created event videos (selected pause slide until video ends) and hidden them on slides, opening by selecting a button that shows the video with a button that hides each video again once it completes playing.

This action works, but the slide will immediately advance after one video completes. Do I need to set up a conditional advanced action to keep the slide up until all the videos have been selected?

Launching videos in a new window

I built several video demonstrations in Cp6.01.240 for a course to be loaded to an LMS (SCORM 1.2 or 2004, my choice). Rather than embed the videos in the course, I want them to launch in a new window to allow me to update them separately from the course. The .cpvc files were published as .mp4s - do I have to convert them to .swfs and include them in the zip file that way, or can I just load them in as .mp4s and have them open?

Can you make the included interactives in Cp6 keyboard accessible?

I know - I'm a one trick pony - always asking about 508 issues. Anyway - I really like the interactives, but they don't seem accessible, and I can't set them like I set buttons and click boxes to create accessibility.

They don't tab in project preview mode at all.

I can reach them using arrow keys in a browser preview after tabbing onto the screen, but I can't access the button content - I can just see the button.

The same issues occur when I load them into an LMS SAT.

Just wondering - anyone have a way to use these and stay 508 compliant?

Button accessibility mystery quest

I went on a quest to make my course buttons tabbable in a non-playbar course. I found that, while all buttons tab as long as you click the hand cursor option in the properties menu, tranparent buttons and buttons created by using smart shapes do not respond to the standard "tab/enter" accessibility test. (they do work using keyboard shortcuts, but my testing standard is tab/enter)

Using Cp6 on a Meridian LMS with the most current updtaes (which solved all the other issues I had last month) - any ideas? Not being able to use the smart shape buttons to create a navigation interface on the master slides is a bit of a downer.

Setting up multiple event videos on a single screen

I love the concept of multiple short video presentations being selected an playing off a single screen, but I've run into a seemingly simple issue that I can't figure out. My procedure has been as follows:

create a basic three second slide
add multiple F4Vs to the screen and hide them. (none of the available skins have a "close" or "exit" button on them)
set up each video to display for the rest of the slide and check the "pause slide until end of video" box
create buttons for each video using the "Show" action.

At this point, the videos all operate perfectly and the playbar attached (currently haloSkin3) are tabbing very nicely - but when a selected video ends, I can't close it - there's no button on the playbar to re-hide it/close it and stay on the same slide.

I know I can develop seperate mini-projects containing individual sychronized videos and pile them all in my SCO, but I'm hoping for a more elegant solution than having multiple pop-up windows.

Probably not seeing the forest for the trees, but that's why I am reaching out here!

Tabbable buttons in the LMS

I'm putting this up in a different format, and making the following clear:

I cannot share the project - I'm on a secure server, a secure LMS, and access is severely restricted - don't ask me to see the course, ping the LMS, or do anything that requires outside access to my system.

The LMS and server work fine with all the other Captivate 6 projects I've designed and launched.
I'm publishing in SCORM 1.2 to a Meridian LMS, using Captivate 6 on a Windows 7 machine.

This is a case of erratic behavior in terms of tabbing through the buttons . Let me make it as simple as I can:

1. The playbar is always accessible. No problems at all with this.

2. Image buttons created with images from my design are not showing up as accessible - the cursor doesn't change shape to a hand when you roll over the button, but if you click on it, it will work.

3. Text hyperlinks in the course have the same issue - not tabbable, the cursor will not change as expected, but if you click, the link works.

4. Image buttons created using the button shape provided in Cp6 work intermitently - for example:a copied version of a reference button is tabbable of some screens, not tabbable on others.

5. The kicker: when you log out of the course in the LMS, then log directly back in (part of our testing) all the buttons and the hyperlinks become tabbable.

Any ideas? Anyone?

Screen titles overlays after exit and re-entry in Cp6

OK - this on is just plain weird. Using Captivate 6 and publishing as a SCORM 1.2 to a Meridian LMS. when my accessibility tester is running the course, she exits and re-enters and finds scattered screens with two different titles overlayed on one screen. Nothing else is out of place, just a random title on top of another.

I tweaked a blank master for the course, but no serious changes to the layouts - just fonts and color. I did notice that at least one of the overlays is a text animation I had inserted in place of a title, but others are not.

I have no idea what could be causing this, other than the size of the course (88 screens) which is, unfortunately, non-negotiable.
