File Upload Combined with Ecommerce

Advice needed!

I am looking to create a website with the capability for users to upload an image, choose different options (for printing purposes) and make a purchase.

Ideally to have a user upload a file on the large template layout?

Real Estate Listings

Hello all.

Wondering if anyone out there has successfully integrated a real estate listing system (MLS or Realtor.ca or similar) into a BC site?

I am building a site and looking for any help/suggestions to integrate external listing data into a BC site.

Has anyone had any luck with API integration or third party API systems?

Any suggestions would be so helpful!

HTML Newsletter and Email Program Display Issues

I have been having some problems with my clients newsletters not displaying correctly in some versions of Outlook (specifically Office 2013 in Window 8).

The email is all distorted, text and images not properly sized, text issues ect.

I understand that different email clients handle html emails differently but I was wondering if anyone out there had any insight into how to resolve this or workaround it (other then using the link to view as a webpage, that works too of course) concidering a lot of people use this email client.

Any comments are much appreacited!

Product Attribute Fields

Hello all.

Looking for some way to have some control over the product attributes area of code.

I would like to use jQuery code to have a product attribute show up or not dependant on the first dropdown menu attribute.

I am curious to see if anyone has done this or know who I can implement code on the Product Attributes section.

Any help would be soooo apprecaited.

Product Quantity

Hello all.

I have a client who sells fabric and wants to sell it by the 0.5 meter instead of 1 meter.

They want the client to be able to put in 0.5 or 5.5 into the quantity feild.

Cheep Clients

Hi.

Have a bunch of clients who are complaining about hosting fees of BC on WebCommerce plan when they need Web Apps only not a full Ecommerce store.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions as to what to offer clients in this position?

Whether it's a different system or a workaround in BC, I am open.

As a designer I Love BC but frankly I am loosing business because of the high hosting fees.

Any ideas are very helpful.

Tagged Products Layout Issue

Hello All.

I have been racking my brain on this one and cannot figure it out! I would sooooo much appreciate any help from you guys

I have created a Featured Product list before from Tagged products and displayed them horizonatlly just fine but this site will not work the same so I must be doing something wrong...

Both of these pages are drawing the thumbnail images at the bottom of the page from a Tagged product module dump.

For some reason the first row is displaying on an angle.... This is what I cannot figure out!

Customizing the Photo Gallery

I am very curious to see if anyone knows how to customize the photo gallery module in it's look/functionality without using web apps?

(In other words stay on a lower BC plan, no web apps, but have a cool gallery that a user could change the photos themselves)

Web app count by classification

Hello all.

I am tring and have not been able yet to display a "count of total items for specific web app" ({module_webappscount,24552}) but for a specific classification (of which the web apps are classified/tagged) instead of a count for the whole web app.

Any ideas, or anyone who has done this before I would very much appreciate your advice.

Visitor Submitted Events

Has anyone figured out or have suggestions as to how I could create a Web App(visitor submitted) combined with the Calendar Module so that events can be submitted by visitors, approved by admin and posted into a calendar module template?

Product Image in Checkout Template

Hi all.

Has anyone figured out how to put a product image in the Checkout template?

I read somewhere that only {tag_smallimage} or {tag_productimage} will work (not {tag_largeimage}), is this true?

I am also trying to constrain the proportions of the image using the following code;

But that does not seem to work in the checkout template for some reason.

Is there a workaround or trick to make this work?

Any help is much appreciated.

Web Forms Dependant Fields

Hello.

I hope someone can help me with this; I am trying to create a 'dependant field': a field in a web form that will return a different result based on what someone previously selected.

In a billing form, I would like someone to choose:

Country: Canada or United States

Then based on what the choose, the next dropdown filed would auto populate the States (US) or Provinces (Can) for that country.

Has anyone done this before?

Custom Events Link

Hello all.

I am trying to make the date in my list layout for events become the link to the detail view for that specific event. (Instead of the name of the event being the link)

The page is http://sprucedalemeats.businesscatalyst.com/processing-booking

and underneath the calendar I want to make those dates (that are being displayed by a module and by classification of the events) to become the links.

Apparently it's not possible from BC. Does any one know how I could do this?

Custom Script using Classifications

Hi.

I am wondering if it is possible and how I would go about using custom scripts to use classifications to display particular things.

This is the goal:

To classify events (back end) and then based on the classification of an event, on the detail page (front end) it will trigger the display of a different web form that was created for that event classification.

This is because I have 3 different types of events that I want to display on my calendar but each need thier own booking form.

Any help would be awesome, I have no idea where to even start with this one.

Linking into a Point of Sale System

Hello everyone.

I am a 'newer' BC partner and I was wondering if anyone has, or knew if it was possible to be able to link the BC Ecommerce system with a physical store point of sale system like Smart Vendor. or similar?

This would mostly be for adjusting inventory levels in both systems when products are bought online, or in the store.

Can the API Integration be used for this, and where would I even start?

Email issues with BC

It seems to me that BC has been having A LOT of usses with hosted email service lately.

I am looking to see if anyone has sourced out other options/services to avoid these issues.

OR if BC is doing anything to FIX FOR GOOD these ongoing issues. I do 90% of my business through email and if it is all of the sudden not working, that greatly affects me.

The first time this happened, I passsed it by because I know things happen but now that I see a trend of this happening more and more often, I am VERY concerned.

I am looking to see if anyone has or knows how to integrate formulas into a web form so that when the form is filled out, a 'hidden' formula can tablutae and display a running total for the form.

Kind of like an online calculator but on a BC web form.

Calendar Default to Specific Month

Does anyone know if it is possible to have the calendar module set up to show a specific month first? Instead of defaulting to the current month.

For example it is Sept but I want to show Oct.

Then still have the option to switch between months, years.

Edit form/layout

Hello.

I am creating a visitor submitted web app for the first time, so this may be a very simple fix that I am just not aware of.

I need the user to be able to edit their web app when logged in to the secure zone. I have everything set up and working fine except for the Edit function.

I have {tag_edit} on the list layout and on the Edit Layout I have inserted the web app input form, but of course now... everytime the web app is 'edited' (the form is filled out) it creates a whole new web app for that user.

I would like it to just update the web app info for the first web app created, not add a new web app item.

Hope someone can help.

Integrated Products

Hello.

I was wondering if anyone out there knew if and how it would be possible to integrate/ display products from one BC website into another BC website.

So basically if one main site could pull all of the details from the other sites and someone could browse through all products and buy in a central location, but the product details are coming from other outside BC sites.

Email Issues Continuing

Hello.

I have been having some serious issues with reliability of BC email service. With one site/client in particular.

Some issues I am finding are;

- some email addresses not coming through (even after adding them to the safe list)

- failure and bounce back messages when sending between email addresses set up under same domain

I was wondering if anyone else has been finding issues like this or if anyone has any suggestions as to what I should do to try to resolve this. Suggestions for other email providers? or email configurations? anything?

Featured Product Styling

I am looking to use custom CSS to style my featured products tags so that they don't display in a list vertically, but instead horizontally in columns and maybe add some colors and nicer fonts, ect.

But I have never applied CSS to Taged product lists so can someone please help and point me in the right direction?

In Context Editing Issues with Menus

I am having inconsistancies with in-context editing. Some of my sites works just fine in the edit mode and some do not.

The ones that do not work, this is the problem...

The "Follow Link" button does not show up when I rollover the menu (dynamic menu module) item. So when I click on the menu item it takes me to the public page of the site NOT the editing mode of that page. So all of the editing options all disappear. So I can't get past the first page of my site in editing mode. It is very fursturating as I need to have this rectified for clients to use the in context editing system to make their changes.

Does anyone have any suggestions or have run into this before?

ANY suggestions would be SO helpful!
