'Incorrect value type for array element in index N'

Please help. Preflight is flagging multiple 'Incorrect value type for array element in index N" > Required key /F is missing >Array element at index 0 is of wrong type' messages for pages throughout my text document with embedded navigation and annotations.What does it mean? Is there anything I can do?

The origins of the file are from a selection of emails taken from Mail and gmail, and letters probably written on pc (Office) and converted to pdf...

I'm on Mac Mavericks.

I have successfully created an animated button that opens to reveal a quotation with a nested clickable link to the source. What I would like to do is have several of these with different quotes inside them, scattered on the page. I have looked at the composition loader available via Edge Commons, and it seems that would require some sort of Edge animate Stage 'frame' to load the instances into? Is there any way to place them directly into the master page - as div elements...?

The outer of the buttons is the same, on hover they open partialy on click fully, to reveal their particular text - which I thought about loading it at runtime with json, or maybe handlebars...?

I would also like to make the buttons only take the necessary space. ie. before they expand they are only buttons. ( I have set the stage to hidden but it still takes up space). To acheive this, I think perhaps I will have to target the inner components css, and set them as display:none until the button is hovered over, then set :hover and :active pseudo classes inside edge. Is this feasible?

...all the elements appear in the elements panel, and on stage - but nothing appears in the timeline, as being on Stage... so I don't know how I can access and manipulate anything. In the example/tutorial by Paul Trani

Animating elements in an existing HTML page

he has a list of available elements in the timeline... How can I persuade mine to appear there? Related to this, I have a copy of jquery in the head of the file, should I remove it, if I'm manipulating the file in edge animate, in order to avoid jquery duplication/conflicts? Same applies for TweenMax? There is one file that it edge animate doesn't like - the .css for the jplayer instance I am using. Is this because I will eed to load jplayer via the script panel to use it?

Animated Button unexpected issues

Very weird. I've been working on an animated button - and suddenly when I preview in the browser (Chrome) the size has doubled unexpectedly.

I am not aware of having done anything to affect this, and the file looks exctly the same inside Animate.

I've checked and the elements within the symbol are the same size....

Is there anywhere to place symbols so that they persist...

To position, etc? Using the EDGE - no. class doesn't seem to work....

Hello,

Lured by the promise that Strobe Media Playback can be set up and configured in a matter of minutes,I am interested in making a playlist to run variations of my showreel.

4 hours later: umm...

I can preview a single video but...

I don't know where to put the code that the set up page generates... how to write the simple bit of xhtml that must wrap it.

I have expereience of Flash and As3 - but only very basic knowledge of html - and that basic but essential bit of the configuration is missing. I guess it is just presumed...

I have uploaded the whole Strobe Media caboodle to my server, because the instructions tell me to - but don't understand why/if I need many of the files. There seem to be all sorts of optional modules and configurations.

I just want a simple video player to display some playlists.

I have written a simple m3u playlist, but when I place that url into the Strobe.swf set up page, as src - the preview player can't find it.

I hope someone here might be able to help...

Can someone spare a moment to show me how to construct and set up simple playlist please?

What's the best way to add grouping buttons?

I want to create a showreel that includes a details overlay .swf for each bit of media - and for that overlay to contain buttons which will navigate to other realated pieces of media in the showreel, thus re-setting the palying order. What is the best way to go about doing this? Do I need to build a special plug-in? Or can I set up arrays and navigate the xml with E4X? Any help appreciated...

I am trying to build a showreel using Dan Carr's Web Video template as a basis: what I want to do is create different groupings of short films, so when you click on the background details of one, others are recommended, which may be out of sequence. The tutorial says' ...When a user clicks this area, the media pauses while a related detail element pops up and transitions into view. You can use this feature to add text, links, animations, or any content you prefer to expand upon the chapter's theme.'

Well, I can't! I've tried various ways in; lately I've been trying to place button links to other video chapters by extending SimpleButton and adding an onClick function : giving an E4X address of where to go within the config.xml - but can't make it happen. How should I be doing this please?
