Can't Install Pluraleyes 3.5.3 for Premiere Pro 2014 Extension

Current Adobe Extension Manager CC version is 7.0.0.347.

I installed the Pluraleyes 3.5.3 extension in August and used it a couple of weeks ago. I tried it today in a new project and it didn't start or display any message. I removed it from the Extension Manager and now when I try to install it I get a message popup: Error occurred. Error code is -180. The extension will not be installed.

I downloaded Pluraleyes again and get the same error.

All my applications are the 2014 with the latest updates. I did remove Premiere Pro CC as I didn't need it any longer - if that's the problem, where do I get the CC version of Premiere Pro as it no doesn't show up in Cloud Control to install?

Premiere 8.1 overwrites adjacent audio clip when original clip sent to Audition

We have been editing a documentary in PR 8.0.1 for several months and the UI started to get really sluggish 1.5 weeks ago. I upgraded to PR 8.1 to see if it would solve the problem and hadn't checked the forum. We were able to get a couple of days of editing before hitting this issue and hope to get it resolved and not have to redo the edits. I spent a couple of days with support and decided to revert back to a clean installation of PR 8.0.1 to work on a couple of other projects while the 8.1 issues get worked on.

The original problem was orphaned PR processes (up to 4) that were left when PR was closed. We are able to get work done by terminating the orphaned processes.

The audio issue is a show stopper and I didn't see anything similar in the forums. I have an original MXF audio clip next to one that had been successfully sent to Audition. The original audio immediately gets the adjacent clips file when played after I select the clip and "Edit in Adobe Audition". The audio in Audition is correct. I figured out that I can take other original MXF clips and "Edit in Adobe Audition". I then go back by one step in the history tab in PR and then copy the audio .wav file from Explorer to the PR timeline. It still shows the adjacent clips peak file, but plays correctly. We are going to continue sending the rest of our .mxf audio to Audition and will try to replace the two bad clips with their originals. I have no idea why these clips are tied together and although the clip name is correct, it is playing the adjacent clips audio. Very odd.

I've deleted the PR and Audition Cache Files and Media Cache Files. No help. I logged case 0186055576 on the 29th, which is when I removed all Adobe products and reinstalled them. Audition is Build 7.1.0.119 and Premiere is 8.1.0 (81). I'm running on Windows 7, i7 920, 48 GB, LSI 9286CV-E RAID disks and Nvidia GeForce 480. I have tried it with Mercury Playback Engine GPU and software only, no help. The sequence is DV NTSC 29.97 and 48 kHz audio. The problem clips are from a Canon XF305. I have old SD footage which is why the sequence is SD. There are also 5d Mark III clips with sync quality sound. The lavalier audio was recorded to the XF305. Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated. I work in Seattle and could provide all source files on a USB drive if anyone at Adobe is interested, please, please.

GUI Slow in 8.0.1 and 8.1 because of orphaned Adobe Premiere Pro Processes

Has anyone seen the GUI in 8.0.1 or 8.1 get very slow and noticed that they had orphaned PR processes?

We've never had performance issues on our Windows 7 Pro, latest SP and updates, i7 920, 48 GB, Nvidia GTX 480 and LSI 9286cv-8e. I have the latest Pluraleyes and Neat Video plugin's. The sequence contains DV, Canon MXF and 5d Mark III files and we've been working on it for months. We added new MXF and mov clips last week and have been copying them into the sequence from a Pluraleyes synced one. The sequence is DV NTSC, 29.97. I've worked with Adobe support, Case: 186016889, for 7 hours over the last few days after we first experienced the slowdown and I had upgraded to 8.1 thinking it would fix the problem ( I didn't check the forum first -( ). Adobe support had us clean the cache and rename %appdata%\Adobe\Premiere Pro and Libraries\Documents\Adobe directories to _old versions. No luck. I then removed and reinstalled 8.1 and finally today reinstalled 8.0.1, same problem.

The problem was intermittent and we finally realized there were 1+ orphaned processes when we looked in the Task Manager. No slowdown after killing the orphaned processes. I'm going to do more testing to see what sequence of events causes an orphaned process. I suspected and have read in other posts where this is happening when you work on another application, go back and close/reopen PR.

Hope someone has an answer. I've spent a good part of the day reviewing all the current posts and will attempt to get a repeatable case where the problem occurs and then deconstruct the sequence until it goes away.

Thanks...

Most Efficient Method to Add Gaussian Blur to Background of Two Person Interview

I have MXF clips of a two person interview with a forest setting behind the two subjects. I want to add a Gaussian Blur to the background between the two people who are sitting and separated by about 6 inches. I would be able to do this now in PR 2014, except tracking masks aren't working as there appears to be a bug. I've never used AE and did look at Mocha as a possible tracking method. The manual talks about using a compressed JPG sequence and then use your original footage when you apply the data. This sounds like the way to go, but I don't know how to apply the data to the original footage. I know how to apply a blur and a simple tracking mask in AE, but it doesn't track the outline of the person and blurs the second person. If PR mask tracking worked, I would duplicate the layer and add a garbage mask that would cut off the other person in each of the two layers.

I'm planning to learn AE, but have a deadline this week to get this infomercial delivered to the customer. So, detailed instructions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Rob

The PE exported sequence in PR's controls like selecting a clip, solo a track or any other functions behave very strangely and do other things, i.e select one clip and another clip highlights, select the solo button and two clips get selected and are highlighted, etc. The timeline plays correctly, but it's not usable or editable.
Error Compiling Movie - XF305 MXF Clip

I'm rendering a clip from a Canon XF305 using Premiere Pro version 7.2.1 on a Windows 7 i7-920, 48 GB, LSI 9286CV-8E that I've been using for 4 years starting with PR 5.0. The error is happening in the middle of the clip on the same frame. I'm exporting with Match Sequence Settings. The clip plays fine in PR and I don't see anything happening when I go frame by frame around the area where it gets the error. The file size when it gets the error is ~3GB and I have 3TB of available space on this RAID 6 disk.

The clip properties are:

File Path: T:\Video\XF305\CONTENTS\CLIPS001\SA0343\SA034301.MXF

Type: MXF

File Size: 1.9 GB

Image Size: 1920 x 1080

Frame Rate: 23.976

Source Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 16 bit - Stereo

Project Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 32 bit floating point - Stereo

Total Duration: 00:41:41:12

Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.0

MXF File details:

Wrapper type: MXF OP1a (type: SingleItem SinglePackage MultiTrack Stream Internal)

File generated by: CANON, XF305

MPEG-2 422 Long-GOP

FIXED: Not sure what type of bug this is, but I did a cut just before and after the frames where the exporter would get the error and was able to export each cut of the clip without error. Now, I've been able to export the whole sequence. The only difference were the two cuts I made.

I created a new sequence with the original clips in the same project and it exported without error.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

Thanks,

Rob

There's a similar post in Premiere, but they suggest using AE which seems more complicated than SG as I'm just starting and haven't learned it yet. Hoping SG will be easier.

Thanks,

Rob

Batch apply Remove 60 Hz Hum Weird Behaviour

I select them all from Files and drag them to batch, then run Remove 60 Hz Hum. The total time for all the clips is 5 minutes. They start processing and when it's completed there are 4 clips that don't have Done in the Stage column. I then remove the Done clips from the batch window and select and run the remaining clips. They all have an asterisk now in the Files window. Some of them are OK, but a few have no audio and just a red line at the infinity level and set the level marker to red when I play them. Very strange. Also wondering if I can set the Remove 60 Hz Hum to 4 bands instead of the default number?

Windows 7, ASUS P6X58D-Premium, Core I7-920, 14 GB Ram, Audition CS6 Version 5.0.2 Build 7

Looking for Areca RAID HW Recommendations

My budget is 2-3K.

I've done lot's of research and found several sources, but don't know which sellers are the most reliable and not sure which disks to get (manufacturer and size 2,3,4 TB)? I see it's not on the list of supported cards for 5.5 and the text file no longer exists.

Why doesn't Adobe support all high end and expensive NVIDIA cards? Has anyone found a new workaround?

No audio in DV Clip on CS5. Audio plays in QT.

PP Windows 7, 6GB, I7, Nvidia 480

Copied project from Mac CS4 to new PC running CS5. Audio plays fine on MAC in CS4 PP.

The movie is 720 x 480 (1.2121), 29.97 fps, 48000 Hz - 16-bit - Mono and plays with the audio in QuickTime.

The files were converted by a TV producer as .mov file types where he had to spit them out into 2GB extensions for a FAT32 drive. Not sure what you would call them (like a split zip on PC), but there is a primary file i.e. TAPE ONE-v.mov and then 6 files like TAPE ONE-1-v.mov, TAPE ONE-2-v.mov, etc.

There is no audio in the Project or Source windows and they create two empty mono audio tracks on the timeline.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I need to finish a trailer this weekend.

Find in out source timecode in source file from sequence clip

I've googled and searched the forums and haven't been able to find an answer to the following question.

We created a sequence from a source clip and then copied a sub clip from that sequence to a different (final) sequence. The audio shows up as a straight line and you can't send it to Soundbooth.

I'd like to easily find the original project clip and it's timecode to use as the source and then copy it's source in/out into the timeline of the new sequence. I can get to the in/out point of the first source sequence to help find the sub clip, but not the original movie file. So we end up scrubbing all the footage to find each replacement.

Also, brand new to Premiere Pro and have CS5. I've been looking for a good workflow tutorial and would appreciate any links that describe best practices. I've looked at many of the tv.adobe and Lynda videos and still have some questions.

My workflow is:

I've gone through the original source clip and selected set unnumbered marker for each point of interest, copy the whole source to a new sequence and then cut them in the timeline.

Searching the forum seems to indicate that the best workflow is to set the in/out points in the source window and then drag each clip to the timeline.

It helps me edit if I can see the audio to set my in/out points which is why I edit the full source in the sequence.

Would you make a sequence for each sub clip so you can name them to know their context? I tried to use speech analysis, but it was unusable in a group setting even though, generally, only one person talked at a time. I applied a noise filter before doing the analyze.

Please let me know if I'm using the forum correctly as this is my first post.

Thanks,

Rob
