How do I design a layout that scrolls, but that adapts to different screen heights?

I'm trying to design a dynamic scrolling site, similar to that on http://muse.adobe.com/ and http://www.noradsanta.org/ where the full screens adapt to both the hieght and width of the monitor/browser size that they are being viewed on. So far I have not been able to accomplish this. Each of my 'screens' only takes up the number of pixels that I have made it, and do not fill the whole height of the browser like I want them to. I know I am missing something and I bet it's pretty simple but I haven't figured it out. Some help? I've included an example of what I'm seeing VS what I want to be seeing.

What I AM Seeing

What I WANT to be seeing
