Remove mouse-click images?

I don't know what the technical term is, so I've had no luck finding help on the forum. When recording a simulation, Captivate records what happens when the mouse is clicked. The image appears at the end of the slide, showing the post-click status (such as a selected check box). The image is separate from the background image. Can it be removed or prevented?

Paste from outside of Captivate does not work ( using a Mac)

I am using Captivate 7 (.0.0.118) on a Mac (OS X10.8.5). I can copy and paste from within Captivate, but when I copy something from outside (e.g., a screenshot), the Paste function is not available.

I know that it's better to save images and import them, but when I have to change 200+ frames, the time adds up. Pasting and merging to background is nearly effortless.

Can't add Window setting to new topic

I am working on a WinHelp project created long ago (in version 6 or earlier--the first time through the numbers), and I'm now using version 8 (in the newer numbers) on Windows 7.

I created a new topic and on the Advanced tab, I selected a Window (the project has different windows for procedures, field descriptions, etc.). When I generated the help file, the topic does not have the window colors, but the content is there.

I also tried manually creating the > footnote by copying and pasting from another topic (the old topics display the colors, even those without a Window selected on the tab).

I will greatly appreciate any help with this.

Web link from winhelp does not work in Windows 7

I have a WinHelp project that is developed and compiled on an XP box using RoboHelp 8. The .hlp runs fine in Windows 7, except for the links to websites (HTML Jumps, to use the RH vernacular). The links work on XP.

Any ideas?

What do the application developers need to do to convert from winhelp to webhelp?

I apologize for the basic nature of this question. I've tried several searches and haven't found a simple answer (perhaps there isn't one).

What do developers need to change in an application to convert from WinHelp to webhelp? Can someone point me to a good reference?

The help system uses context-sensitive help extensively, including image maps (still .shg, of course).

Problem importing winhelp files into Robohelp 8

I am converting five help systems. I successfully imported three of them, but when I try to import the other two, a lot of files are created (I'm not sure if it's all of them), but no .xpj file.

Before importing the files, I added page breaks to each document to eliminate the font lists (see Mr. Grainge's snippet 56). I also had to change the Image folders setting, because I had to move the source files to a different server and the project stored the absolute path from my old PC.

For one of the successful ones, I forgot to change the Image folder settings, and it did not create the .xpj. When I changed the Image folders, it imported fine.

I appreciate the help that I've received by reading posts over the years. I hope that someone can help with this problem.

BTW: I tried deleting the [project name].rtf file, and that did not help.
