Keeping Menu Button Status active on sub-sites

Hi there!

I've created a complex website with a menu where status active is blue and otherwise it's grey. Now: if I'm on the top-level site of the respective menu section, it works finde,. but I've got a number of sub-level sites under the same menu button, which are linked to via a distribution site (with it's own menu).

When I click on those distributional menu buttons, my menu status at the top becomes "normal" again, like so:

Now I'm still under the same top-level-menu button, but it's not resembled via Menu Status.

How can I tell Muse to keep the menu status on active, while looking at a those sub-level sites?
