Graphics for iOS

The last question in particular has been dificult to find a difinitive answer on.

1. Does it matter what graphic files are used ie .PNG, Pict, jpeg is there any preference, adavantage or disadvantage of each file type. Can using different file types on the same stage cause problems?

2. Do apps made for ipad only - also have to be compatable with the new iphone 5 widescreen format.

3. Do ipad apps now have to be 2048 x 1536 pixels or can it still be 1024 x 768 pixels.

not a Director file

It all seems to work okay (mostly), but I'm having problems with one of the movies. When ever it is accessed from one of the other movies, there is a Director Player Error 'The file "moviepath & name" is not a Director file'.

The file has been upgrade into Director 12 and editied and saved numerous times. It dosen't work on a Mac projector, but sometimes does work on ios - though most of the time it crashes on the ipad when trying to open that particular movie. Is there something in Director files that can cause this or is the file just corrupted.

But when it launches on the ipad it will crash whenever any hot spots are touched. Some times the animations will start but only for a second or two.

It is Director 5 Lingo, so there may be (probablly) some issues with syntax

It uses 256 bit graphics (which will be upadated to 24bit), but 256 colours have worked okay in other tests I have done.

All sounds are .aif 16bit 22.050 kHz

I created a mac projector which works fine.

Are there any issues with iOS limitations which haven't been documented yet.
