PHP to ASP?

Hi!

We are looking into upgrading our intranet files at my company. Right now, although they are effectively "plain vanilla" html, for some reason we have been using the asp format.

Our next evolution may involve using FMStudio to allow the intranet users to interact with our Filemaker database. These pages would be output in the php format.

I am wondering if I can convert these to asp without losing significant functionality. Thanks!

Multi-level numbered lists for web content

Hello, I am a technical writer for a large hi-tech company. I mostly write manufacturing procedures for our products.

Many times these instructions are so complex that multilevel numbered lists are the optimum way to present the process flow accurately. Unfortunately, we have a legacy of on-line documentation in html format and html does not support multilevel lists. We could use Word, but that solution is very intractable and awkward.

I have experience creating stable multilevel lists through Framemaker and Pagemaker (now Indesign, I guess). My current quandary is in importing or "placing" graphics-heavy html content into ID or FM. I'm certain that there's a combination of document types that would make this work, but I have not yet discovered it.

Of course, for new procedures, I can create them from scratch in ID, or by placing engineers' notes from MSWord, but revising old html docs is going to be tricky.

Any ideas? I am just now running a trial version of Design Premium CS5. Thanks!
