Date limits relative to current date?

Is there a way to set the date limits relative to the current date? We have created a work order form, but of course we cannot accept dates that are in the past, and for some services we can't accept dates that are too close in the future, such as the next day. What we would like is for the "Limit Date Range" option to allow the choice of a relative date, such as "current date" or "5 days from today". Any chance that is in the works, or should I submit an idea/enhancement request?
