vector mask missing

The "Auto Vector Mask" in Fireworks comes up totally blank when I try and apply it to one of my projects. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so can you please help? I do not receive any error message just an empty pop up window. I have uninstalled and re installed about 10 different times with any success. Please help ASAP. Thanks in advance.

Again, has anyone experienced any issues concerning the auto vector mask option in Fireworks when trying to fade an image?

I have a major issue that I have tried to resolve on many levels, to no avail. The auto vector mask pop up window is empty when I choose it to fade an image in fireworks. Can anyone please assist. Thanks.

Can anyone tell me if they've had issues with the vector mask under the command tab?

When I try and apply a vector mask to one of my layers the pop up window is totally blank. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted, etc.... but nothing seems to be working and I have a project I need to complete by tomorrow. Someone please assist.
