Edge Animate and iPhone 4?

I added a play button to my animation (so that it'll work in iOS), but now once i hit the play button on my iPhone, the animation is blank...

any ideas?

Edge Animate & Retina Displays

Hello! I'm new to animation, but have recently taught myself Edge Animate.

How can I make sure everything works with devices that have Retina Displays?

Do I set up two animations or is there some code I need to add to show the retina image when the device warrants?

Should the retina images be 144ppi and the others be 72ppi?

I'm sure these questions are elementary, but I've found so much on the web, I don't know which advice to choose.

Why can't I resize an image and its frame together?

For years I've been using shift-option-command to resize images.

CC doesn't allow for that, so how can I resize the image and its associated frame together?

Also, I can't seem to (just using the shift key), drag an item directly down (no left or right)?

Anyone else having these issues with the new CC?

Anyone else getting a CC subscription reminder though they've already paid?

I won a free year subscription to the Creative Cloud in 2012.

It expires soon, so I called and asked for the Creative Cloud customer rate of 29.99 a month last week and gave my payment information - all was confirmed.

Now, my account shows that I have a Creative Cloud membership that expires in one year (the one I just paid for) ... AND also still the old 'free' one that says month to month (and has always read negative days. now it says -330 though I know that's not right).

I'm just wondering if I should be concerned about these alerts that pop up saying I have 7,6,5, now 4 days left on my subscription. I have chatted live with two Adobe reps last workweek. What they said would happen didn't happen, then they kinda just said - don't worry, you won't have any problems in 5 days. I'm running a business, so the Creative Cloud is essential, of course.

Any thoughts? Poor timing to have to contact customer service with tomorrow's release and all, I know.

Muse won't update/what is Suite Shared Configuration CS6?

Adobe Muse won't update: I get to the end of the install and it says: "The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author."

I updated Photoshop no problem today, so I don't think it's the Adobe Installer, I think it's something to do with Muse. I thought maybe I should uninstall Muse, re-download it and reinstall it.

However, when I clicked on the Uninstall Adobe Muse inside Applications>Utilities>Adobe Installers folder, it ALSO wants to uninstall "Suite Shared Configuration CS6"... SO I'm not sure if I want to uninstall that too... Don't want any issues with other programs by doing so. Anyone else have this same issue or could offer some suggestions?

Problems with 3D image in Illustrator

I have been struggling with this for a week. Basically, I've built a 3D cylinder shape in Illlustrator and have applied plastic shading. Looks OK in Illustrator, but when imported into InDesign or opened in Photoshop, it appears to be partially transparent AND what looked to be smooth shading in Illustrator appears as a strange pattern in PS and InD, etc.
We're getting close to final and this will be printing as it's a logomark.
Is there something I'm missing that would make this shape a solid shape (instead of appearring to be transparent) and reproduce well? I just want it to look in PS and InD (and on paper) the way it looks in Illustrator.

Any suggestions?

How to make 3D object look like it's spinning?

I am creating a logo and the client wants the cylindrical shape with tire treads on it look like it's spinning. I've created a 3D cylinder and mapped the tire tread artwork onto it, but can't seem to figure out a way to make it 'look' like it's spinning. I've tried a little bit of a shadow to the treads (slightly darker color) and also tried to copy/paste some additional treads just slightly off on the x value (making the additional treads darker as they 'step down'). Not sure if < that description makes sense, but I'm just not quite sure how to accomplish this. Any ideas? I'm currently working in Illustrator CS6.

Can I isolate type that's been mapped around a sphere?

I have created a sphere and mapped some type around it. However, I can't figure out how to knock out the sphere to 'clear' so I ONLY see the type and not the sphere (I'm placing the type on top of something else). I'm sure it's got to be simple, but I've done some searching online with no success, so I figured I'd ask the pros on here.

Transparency problem in CS5

CS5 InDesign:

i have a background image over which I have 50% transparent type.

However, once the transparent type is on the page with the background, the background appears lighter than when that same background is on a different page without the trasparent item.

Any ideas? I can't seem to find the solution on these forums.

changing someone else's website: 2 files php vs. html

Hello! I am making some 'simple' changes in Dreamweaver to a site built by someone else.

the files provided include a contact.php file and a contact.html file which look the same.

The contact page links to contact.php which loads fine on their current site.

However I'm testing this out by putting it up on my mobileme idisk and for some reason, when i click on the contact link, it keeps asking me to download the contact.php instead of loading it like the current site does. This also happens when viewing in my browsers from dreamweaver.

I'm not a pro at html and css, and certainly don't work with php files.

Any advice? should i just change the link to contact.html? Is that going to screw up where the forms are sent?

I'm not finding a definiton for php files that really explains what they are besides being server based.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

moving pages hotizontally within pasteboard

I've been learning about page size, etc. from latest InDesign magazine, but i can only seem to move pages up and down within the pasteboard, NOT horizontally (with a space between the pages, still within the same spread). I've been looking around for otpions but can't seem to figure it out. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Is there a way to change a brush stroke into a shape?

I created a logo back in 2000, with a brush stroke, but am having issues resizing.

I am able to resize the stroke smaller, but it maintains those settings established by the stroke.

think of a cursive lowercase e - what i end up with is the hole of the e gets filled in.

is there a way to make the stroke into a shape?

I've attended seminars where I thought I recalled hearing you could, but can't find the info in my notes or online.
