Merged CHMs in RH9 not appearing as merged

I upgraded RoboHelp 8 projects to RoboHelp 9. I have 6 different projects that I compile as CHMs and they are all merged to appear as one CHM to the end user. In the RoboHelp 8 generated CHMs, when I would click on one of the child projects, it would appear as part of the merged help. In RoboHelp 9 generated CHMs, when I click on one of the child projects (any one of the child projects), it opens up the child CHM in a separate pop-up.

All of the names of the 6 CHMs are one word (no spaces and no underscores).

Does anyone have any suggestions? I am still getting the message:

"This operation cannot be completed without FrameMaker. Please install FrameMaker and try again."

In the RoboHelp help, it says:

"FrameMaker book files created in a version earlier than FrameMaker 6 (BK) can only be imported into RoboHelp; they cannot be linked."

So, I'm assuming that I should be able to import a Framemaker 6 file into RoboHelp 8.

Best regards,

Debbie

P.S. However, someone else looked at the HTML generated by RoboHelp and said that because of the JavaScripts, Google will not index it.

Thanks,

Debbie

It opens up slowly and sometimes one topic takes over 10

I upgraded the projects from RoboHelp 6.

Working in a local directory made no difference.

RoboHelp 8 - All Files Unrecognized

for awhile (very slow and many style issues), but okay.
Now, any topic that I try and open, RoboHelp tries to open a
new project and then I get the following messgae:

The file "xxxx.htm" is not a recognized Help Project file and
cannot be opened.

This happens whether on the local directory or network.

I moved this project to local to try and improve the slow
performance and then this happened.
Any suggestions?

I tried deleting the .cpd, but then the project opened with
all broken links (1,000s of topics).

SWF file not appearing in generated CHM

I am working with RoboHelp 6 and want to add a SWF file that
was created in Camtasia.

I tried adding the SWF file, controller.SWF file, config.xml
file and the associated HTML file to the baggage files.

I linked from a separate HTML topic to the HTML file that was
created with the SWF file. When I generate the one topic, it looks
fine. When I generate the whole project, the SWF file does not run.

I tried importing the SWF as well and that didn't work
either.

If I link to the SWF file, it runs, but without the toolbar
on the bottom (no stop button, no rewind/forward buttons, etc).

(I also have the files as an .exe file and I am able to link
to that, but I don't like that the user has to Run the .exe file.)

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Thank you,
