Just started Livecycle yesterday. Need help with Javascripting

I'm new to scripting in general, but have figured out enough to be dangerous in Acrobat. Unfortunately, Acrobat no longer fulfills the need I have for dynamic forms and I have started trying to figure out Livecycle. Is the scripting in Livecycle THAT different from Acrobat that I need to relearn the scripting I figured out in Acrobat? Below is an example. It is in a table where I am trying to determine height of instrument (HI) from the elevation (Ele) and the difference between back (BS) and fore sights (FS). Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This is the script I used in Acrobat and it worked:

if(this.getField("BSRow2").value) {

var add = this.getField("BSRow2").value + this.getField("EleRow1").value

this.getField("HIRow2").value = add;

} else {

var height = this.getField("HIRow1").value

this.getField("HIRow2").value = height;

}

This is the script I used in Livecycle and it doesn't

if(this.getField(BS).value) {

var add = this.getField(BS).value + this.getField(Row1.Ele).value

this.getField(this).value = add;

} else {

var height = this.getField(Row1.HI).value

this.getField(this).value = height;

}

Merge Data Files into Spreadsheet not working

HELP! I created the form files in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, saved as Reader Extended PDF, have a submit button that emails me, and I download them to a folder on my desktop. When I try to "Merge Data Files into Spreadsheet" all I get back is the file name. I've tried with 10 files and only one file and it STILL won't work so it is not that the fields don't line up.

What do I do now?

What is the JavaScript to copy the value from a field to the clipboard?

I have a "Save As" Button scripted. But would like the button to first copy the value "SiteCode" so when the user is prompted to enter in the name they can just paste it.

Anybody got any ideas?

Javascript custom format number field to accept select letters

I want to have users measure something and enter that measurement. HOWEVER they need to be able to enter these three additional characters: >, <, and e (for estimated) before the actual number.

Anyone got a possible script for that? My field is called "PartSize".

Custom script to look at radio buttons and determine if calculation if needed

OK So I have these fields:

(Radio button) Gradient Units: ft, cm, m

(Radio button) Distance Units: ft, cm, m

(Number) Gradient

(Number) Distance

I need to calculate the Gradient/Distance BUT I need to make sure the units are the same. I would prefer if it is all in meters.

Conversions ft * 0.3048 = meters

cm * 0.01 = meters

The other caveat is that it needs to work on an iPad running Adobe Reader Mobile.

HELP!
