A simple responsive banner

Greetings.

I'm attempting to make a simple responsive banner.

There's an image floating left with 100px width and an image floating right with 100px width.

In the middle I'm trying to place paragraph text to fill in the empty space between the two images and to fill the entire space available between the two images, even if the browser width is decreased.

I've had little success with this lofty goal. I've tried to specify a width in %, and I've tried to specify max-width and min-width in % but none of these work.

Can you please kindly suggest how I may accomplish this simple task?

Color for Inside Body and Outside Body.

Greetings.

Can CSS code give a color inside the body and another color outside the body rectangle?

I searched but did not find an answer for this, although it is seen on so many sites.

Just not sure how to do it, especially with CSS.

I'm sure this is done regularly but I am unable to figure out how.

Using CSS (or any other way) how can I specify a color for just withing the body, and have a different color outside of the body, just for the peripherals of the page?

Send Drag and Drop Source to original position - Not working

I just posted this to advanced topics but I now realize I should have posted it here...

I'm getting great answers here, so....

I've created a drag and drop in which student drags three different types of fractions into the correct drop targets.

I've checked 'send drag source to original position but the drag object stays wherever it is put. I would like it to pop right back immediately if dragged to the incorrect drop target.

Is there something else to be done to make the drag source pop right back to its original position immediately if not dropped into the correct drop target?

show button if arriving from specific slide

Greetings!

When teaching a new subject, there is one section in which the student may require remediation from some previous slide.

I would like them to be able to go to that slide and then return to the current slide using a return button, but i only want that button to appear if the student arrived from that other slide.

This is much like the captivate remediation except the student is not arriving from a quiz question.

Any suggestions please?

Sizing down Caption Text Box Width

I'd like to firstly thank all those stars who have been diligently answering all our questions! I hope I speak for all the 'questioners'!

This is trivial perhaps, but I'm writing fractions and numbers in my lesson and I cannot decrease the width of the caption text box and I then have overlap and it becomes very difficult to move the boxes close to each other and then select one of them without getting the wrong box.Chaos ensues in which I must move over all the boxes I previously lined up so nicely to get at the one caption text box I want.

In the Transform area I've unchecked Constrain Proportions. I've tried to decrease the width using the anchor points and by trying to type in a smaller number in the transform area. All to no avail. A red arrow appears above the text box and it insists on not allowing me to decrease the width.

So in summary...is there a where to unlock the width of the text caption box so the box fits snugly around the text?

Since updating to Yosemite in Mac there is no audio output.

PowerPoint 2011 and Captivate 7 Mac

I am unable to create a new project from Microsoft Powerpoint.

The message I get:

'Unable to process the file. The file might either be damaged or you are using an older version of Micrsoft Powerpoing. Install the freely downloadable MicroSoft Office Compatibility Pack along with the latest Office Service Pack and then retry.'

I've followed all the instructions and am still unable to create a new project.

I am considering purchasing Captivate 7 however I cannot do so if I cannot complete this important task of creating a new project from Microsoft Powerpoing.

Please kindly advise how to proceed.

Default Font Query

Greetings.

When starting up Illustrator CC it defaults to some crazy font that does not even live on my computer, a Macbook Pro.

Please kindly advise how to change the default startup font, and other startup defaults.

As much detail as possible will be appreciated as I do not know where the files reside on my computer!

File Content Deleted Upon Upload

Greetings. Just for the past day, when I upload files to my server, the file appears in the remote site but it somehow gets emptied.

I think it is caused somehow by Dreamweaver, which I am using for creating and uploading the html files.
