After Effects CC Freezing, OSX 10.8

While using AE CC I am getting random freezing, especially with heavy comps (lots of footage based layers, long ram previews, ect..) and this gets logged into the console:

4/14/14 9:18:32.320 PM After Effects[11426]: -[NSMenu menuID]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x11455f820

This error is also logged:

4/14/14 9:01:16.882 PM After Effects[9909]: *** Assertion failure in -[NSEvent subtype], /SourceCache/AppKit/AppKit-1187.40/AppKit.subproj/NSEvent.m:2118

My system will freeze for several seconds, and sometimes if I have music playing in the background it will continue to play, other times everything stops. Any keystrokes applied during the freeze are rapidly executed when the system comes back. Sometimes a restart or shutdown is required to get the system back.

This only happens with After Effects.

System specs:

Mac Pro, Mid 2010

Processor 2 x 2.66 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon

Memory 64 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC

Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2048 MB

Software OS X 10.8.5 (12F45)

It hasn't always been this bad but the crashing and freezing started with a CC update earlier this year. Disk Cache has BEEN TURNED OFF for several weeks and it still freezes.

How can I troubleshoot this?

Adobe Dynamic link error

When trying to use the new Warp Stabilizer inside After Effects CS5.5, I get the following error "timed out obtaining dynamic link server project." I never get past this error. Why does the warp stabilizer use dynamic link?

I have searched all of the previous posts, and re-starting the computer does not fix the problem. Does anyone have any ideas or a solution to this problem?
