debugging messages being blocked by server

We just got a new web server, and new ColdFusion (v8 to v11) . Working my way through things that worked fine before and don't work now. Trying to figure out if this is a new server/new server settings problem or if this is a new CF version problem. I go into the Admin page and turn on "Robust Debugging", go to the page having the problem and get a message of "Server Error 500 - Internal Server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed." Checked in CF Admin that the connection name is the same as before, and that it works. All OK from there. My network administrator says it's not his problem. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Thanks,

Kye

ColdFusion 11 deprecating Flash forms what used to replace cfgrid?

We recently updated from CF8 to CF11. Getting ready to create interfaces with several new databases. Need to use something like CFGRID in new forms, but since that is a Flash form component and Flash forms are deprecated in CF11, what is the alternative for non-Flash forms for those who need a sub-form with ADD/EDIT/DELETE features like CFGRID? Looks like spreadsheets feature is just for data output/display, not data input.

need popup window from cfform to go to PayPal using their button

I have a cfform page (ColdFusion 8) that is embedded in an iframe in my standard html webpage. (Embedded so that I still have the same outer "envelope" as the rest of the pages; nav bars, etc.) I have the form post back to itself in order to check for injection problems, validation beyond basic form validation, etc, then insert form entries into a database. I am trying to then pass the visitor on to PayPal for them to make the payment. This could be either by way of a popup window or a redirect. The problem is that if I just put the PayPal button in my .cfm page it doesn't work. Also, it seems I need to get it out of the iframe context. Of course it would be nice to go the other way (which I have also tried) and have the potential donor first go to PayPal, enter their info, and then have them redirected back to my page. I realize I could then get some of the info I need from them (name, email, etc) in the PayPal IPN return, but there are 2 problems with this. 1) I have to rely on them clicking the "go back to ....." link in PayPal and 2) I still need other info that PayPal doesn;t pick up, like what department category they want their donation to go to, etc. which I can get up front from them if I go the first route mentioned.

I have looked into cfhttp and cflocation tags. I don't seem to be finding any clearcut answers!

Thanks for any help in advance!

ColdFusion and MS SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition

Trying to get ColdFusion (Developers Edition) to communicate
with MS SQL Server 2005 (Enterprise Edition). I have ColdFusion
running on username = admin; password = as set up when installed.
Have also tried setting up a user account with my Windows desktop
username and password in case ColdFusion needed to be logged on as
the same user as the SQL server. I have full admin permissions on
the SQL Server (with Windows authentication), and am the database
"owner" of the database on the server. In either ColdFusion login
case, when I try to "add a data source", with driver = Microsift
SQL Server, I get.....
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Connection verification failed for data source: CFtoVolcano
java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC
Driver][SQLServer]Login failed for user 'kewing'.
The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException:
[Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Login failed for user
'kewing'.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Went to help files (troubleshooting area) and verified that
the local web browser (IIS) and Cold Fusion ARE running. Next step
takes me to "Change ColdFusion user account" which starts with
"Open Control Panel and select ColdFusion 8 App Server and click
Startup". I don't see that choice in MyComputer/ControlPanel. Not
even sure if this is going to ba another dead end anyway!!!

HELP! This shouldn't be this difficult! I'm not using some
weird version of SQL!
