remove color from font?

Working on a MAC OS 10.6.8 with Acrobat X. Save Word (2011) file as pdf, then preflight shows RGB associated with my fonts, even though it is a black and white document. Can I remove the RGB from the embedded font or do I have to convert to pdf/x-1a to make it CMYK (as require by Lightning Source) for printing?

Trimbox: Preflight says it's missing, Acrobat says it's there?

The Pagesize on my pdf, as Acrobat shows it, is 6.69 x 9.61, and this is the Crop size as well. The help documents for Acrobat say Trim Size is the same as Crop Size. However, preflight says the Trimbox or Art box is missing from all pages. How can I make Acrobat see the Trimbox I desire (and think I have)?
