Adobe Help Manager: what does "out-of-date" status mean?

Does it mean the reference is no longer being updated, and should be deleted? When I click to update an out-of-date reference file, the the app displays a status bar which, once it's hit "full" returns the status to "out-of-date". These aren't especially old documents — they all were last downloaded early in 2013.

I guess I'm wondering if these reference files ought to be deleted if labeled "out-of-date"?

When updating to PV2012, is it expected to see modifications in existing tone curves?

Just looking for clarifiication here: I realize PV2012 must make adjustments in order to emulate previous editing.

When I update the process version of a previously processed image I notice the tone curve is changed as well. Is that typical?

Why can't Presets be found in the directory?

I'm unable to find Lightroom- or User-presets for LR v4.3.

Using Preferences > Presets > Show Lightroom Presets Folder ("Store presets with catalog" is checked), I am taken to my catalog folder, but nothing is highlighted within there. I explored the Lightroom Settings directory there, but the folders I assumed they'd be in (Develop Presets, Import Presets, etc.) are either empty or contain empty "Lightroom Presets" and "User Presets" folders.

All lightroom presets appear and function properly within LR — I just can't find the physical files. As for user presets, I only had one from v3, but it's nowhere to be found either — even though I physically duplicated it into several of the empty user preset folders mentioned above.

The 'Update Metadata' icon displays even after saving metadata

After upgrading from v3 to v4.3, I opened my catalog (Lightroom made a copy of the file and converted it for v4.3). I didn't do anything to the images, but noticed several displayed the 'Update Metadata' icon. (I should note the 'update metadata automatically' option in the preferences is turned off to save ROM.)

Since I update the metadata manually, it's possible I forgot to save these several files — but when I try to save them, the icon persistently returns within seconds, or when I scroll away and come back.

I'm running an iMac with OS X 10.6.8 and 165 GB of disc space. The Lightroom files are on an external drive, and the images are DNGs.

AAM's Lightroom 'Launch App' link is inactive/grayed out

When I installed Lightroom 4.3 via Creative Cloud's Adobe Application Manager, the 'Launch App' link was nonfuntional. Is this an issue to be concerned about? Or is it unique to Lightroom (perhaps LR needs to be directed to the .lrcat)?

I'm on an iMac, running OS X 10.6.8 with 165 GB of disk space. Also, my Lightroom catalog us on an external drive.

How do you move multiple vector layers simultaneously?

I am new to vector layers, so this question may be simplistic to some:

I've built an image using vector layers, grouping the different layers of each of the illustration's elements for organization sake.

The problem is, I'm unable to reposition the 'whole' when using the Mover tool. When I try, only one grouped element acquiesces, the rest remain in place.

I've tried linking all the layers, but no go. Selecting all the layers within the palette to use Transform tool doesn't work either: only one element becomes transformable). I've even tried putting all the elements into one group. One one attempt I got a message, something along the lines of "can't move the layers unless they are rastorized because they belong to a parent". (I don't know what I did to call up that message, haven't been able to duplicate it.)

Anybody out there know what I'm doing wrong? (CS4)
