can I give away Elements 11 since I have Elements 12?

I have both 11 and 12 installed on my computer, but no longer use 11. Can I give it to my sister?

File listing within a folder of images

When I scan old film to create digital files, I put them in a folder with the file name ending in a sequential number ( 1, 2, 3, etc). Sometimes, when I open the folder to work on the image files in Photoshop Elements 11, I find the files list in the proper sequential order, but other times, especially when I have recently had some files open, the files will be listed in the order that I last opened them. How can I force PSE 11 to always list them in numerical order upon opening the folder?

How do I deactivate and remove any serial numbers before uninstalling PSE 9? I now use PSE 11.

After installing PSE 11 and liking what I see, I decided to uninstall PSE 9. In the process, I was asked to "deactivate and remove any serial numbers" How do I do that? And maybe more important, does it matter, because while I was trying to contact Adobe help, the unstall wizard proceeded to uninstall PSE 9.

Import from scanner

I just installed PSE 11. Previously used PSE 6,9 and others. When I tried to import an image from my Epson V600 scanner, the setup screen recognised that I had a V600, but then claimed no compatible scanner was available. What do I need to do now?

Opening Inspiration Browser

How do I open the Inspiration Browser? I have version 3.0.9 installed on my PC running Windows 7, using Elements 9. When I try to open the Browser from the Inspiration Browser icon, I get a message stating that I should open it from within Elements. If I open Elements, I don't see any place where I can click to open the Browser. If I just click on the download link, I get a box that says Inspiration Browser with the rotating symbol, but it never stops and I can't go any farther. What am I doing wrong?

keyboard shortcuts

In the online tutorial videos, the presenters make use of numerious keyboard shortcuts. That is great, but I have trouble remembering all of them. If I search for "keyboard shortcuts" in Elements 9 help, I find many shortcuts, but not some of the ones used in the videos. Is there a place where I can find all of the shortcuts, especially those pertaining to copying/cutting/moving layers?

tiff to jpeg conversion question

Need help. I created a .tif file by scanning an image using VueScan software. It is rather large, too large to send via email. I opened it in PSE 9 and tried to save it as a jpeg in order to make it a small enough file to email. When I do a "save as", PSE 9 does not give me the option of saving as jpeg. Any suggestions? I need the large tiff file for archiving purposes, so I am working with a duplicate.

Layer mask question

I have a problem and must be doing something wrong. When I create a layer mask and paint on it with black, that works fine, but if I switch to white and paint, nothing happens. It should be removing the black (ie, putting back the adjustment) shouldn't it? Any clues as to what is wrong?
