RoboHelp 9 - link to PDF

I'm trying to create a link to a PDF that I have added to a baggage file in RoboHelp 9. I drag and drop the baggage file into my help topic, but when I generate the help file (WebHelp) the link doesn't work. It doesn't seem to be related to security settings on my computer in IE11, since I tried it out on other computers and it doesn't work there either.

I'd really appreciate some help in figuring out what I'm doing wrong, since I'd like to link to several PDFs in my help project and open them in a new window.

Thanks,

Sally C.

TOC pane is blank, search doesn't work

I'm using RoboHelp version 9.02.271 (just upgraded from 9.01 since that wasn't working.) After I compile my WebHelp project, the TOC pane appears completely blank and I can't search for any topic. It doesn't work when I use the defaults for compiling and it doesn't work when I use my own TOC, master page, index, and CSS file. Any assistance you can give is appreciated.
Black/white screens in conversion from 5.5 to 7

Hello community,

I just upgraded to Captivate 7 from Captivate 5.5. I have a simulation project that was recorded in Captivate 5.5. However, now when I play it back in version 7, some of the slides appeared black. I republished and those went away, but now some of the slides deep in the project (after slide 100) are completely whited out except for the call-outs. Republishing does nothing.

This is frustrating. Do I have no choice but to re-record those slides?

Advanced actions - invisible steps!

I created a series of four sets of advanced actions on a Captivate slide. On two sets of the advanced actions all my steps disappeared! Strangely, when I preview the slide, the advanced actions with the missing steps actually work. However, I can't edit the steps.

What it's supposed to look like:

What it looks like when I open the action for editing:

I know the steps are there because the action works. But where are they hiding?

Has anyone else run into this weird problem? I think it may have something to do with making a duplicate of a set of steps and editing the duplicate.

(BTW, I'm using Captivate version 5.5.)

Thanks,

Sally C.
