mp3 opening a new page to play

I'm just now geteting back this project where I need several mp3s on a page. I have the mp3 players on the page, and linked to the mp3 files which are in a separate folder within the site folder. I published the site and, when I open it in the browser (Safari) the players show up but, when I click play, it opens and plays the mp3 in a separate, blank page. Anybody know how to keep the players from opening a new page?

Thanks,

Shambles
