fireworks vector area size

Hello,

I have an old version of fireworks 8. Is there was a way of calculating the area size of an odd shaped vector?

I can see the width and height dimensions which would help for a rectangle or square but can't see anything else for other shapes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Shez
