ANOTHER BUG...scrolling not working as expected

ok, this is just getting crazy now... check out this file and publish. Use either the navigation to go to Whole Life, or scroll down to it. Notice that the gradient doesn't stay over the image. This was working fine about a half hour ago. I could really use some help here.

BUG: phone version not the correct size

Hi,

I'm testing a site for a client. I have my phone size roughed out and testing. Preview is showing that the image stretches all the way across, but when I view on my phone, the site is not filling the screen

that's the desktop site. You can go to that url on your phone and see it's not working. Here is the way the site responds on my phone... ALSO for some reason the address bar disappears in landscape, but that may be something in iOS8.

What are the differences in the scrolling menus, as well as fills?

Hi,

I see that there are 2 places to add scroll effects... one with the image, and one to the right.

I also see that you can fill an area from the browser fill and the regular fill.

Is there a place that explains the difference and the advantages to each?

Hi,

I am using this menu created by Danielle. This has a nice sliding in look to it, but I have questions on how this was actually constructed, because I'd like to be able to do my own... there's transparency in the rollovers, and it has some sliding mechanism to make the menu items come in one at a time.

ALSO... BIG note on it, is that there appears to be some type of invisible behind the button that opens the menu. This is important because without it, The menu will auto expand any rectangle behind it... wanting to know why that is happening and why the need for the fix-just so I understand.

BUG: Tablet mode does not fill screen

footer disappearing in Samsung mobile preview... does not stay on the bottom in other views

see file attached. Note that the footer moves in certain displays... it does not stay on the bottom in iPhone 5 preview. Even worse is that it disappears altogether on the Samsung device.

Is this a bug in preview, or a bug, because I'm really pushing to do this site for my very big client and I need to know for sure that it's going to work... or that you have someone there that can help me get through the bugs and is ready to really put in the time over the next few weeks.

UI performance mac sluggish

Hi,

I find that UI on mac is really slow, especially when I am working off of my brandy new top of the line macbook pro. I will move something and get spinning beach ball for a few minutes, thinking it will crash but it's just thinking.

Is this being looked at?

submenu fade in?

Hi,

I have a menu set with one menu item that needs a submenu. The menu widget has a delay, and the menu pops in rather abruptly. I want something smoother.

I was lookging at using the composition widget, but it seems that I'd need to have a submenu for every menu item. I tried deleting targets for each area but that got rid of everything.

so, anyone that has an idea for a horzintal menu with a fading submenu would be greatly appreciated. I've googled and searched and have not come up with the answer yet.

URGENT...BUG scrolling not working as expected when using navigation

Hi,

I'm creating this site for a client. It was literally working fine an hour ago. I just went to publish it, and now when I use the navigation, all my images go to the left, even though I have them set to fill.

What could possibly make this happen? I'm supposed to show them this site tomorrow and now I can't. Please if you have any ideas, let me know.

NOTE that this only happens when I use the navigation. If I scroll it works. It is however very jumpy.

BUG: backgrounds do not show up in IE

go to this site. background works fine in Safari. Open in IE9 windows 7. Can't see background.

useHandCursor not working once I add to html?

Hi,

I have this bit of code for a simple button:

import flash.events.MouseEvent;

import flash.ui.Mouse;

movieClip_1.buttonMode = true;

movieClip_1.useHandCursor = true;

I can see the cursor in flashPlayer, but once I put this in an html doc, I don't see the hand cursor any more.

Do I need to be adding something to the html as well, or is more code needed? For some reason, I thought this used to work... maybe that's just the old school AS2 buttons?

pause and resume sound in timeline?

Hi,

I have a project that has an event sound (a narration) in the timeline.

I need to have buttons that pause and resume this narration, but for some reason I can't seem to find any information on it.

Everything I find online calls an external mp3 and I can't do that because of server restrictions.

I can stop all sounds, but then it doesn't resume from where I left off.

I do also have an AS Linkage name, but I can't seem to get this to pause and resume.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

force file to open on top of fullscreen window?

Hi,
I have some ppsx files that I'm opening from a button on a fullscreen window. The first window opens fine, but if I go to open another ppsx file, it opens behind my fullscreen interface.

Is there anything I can to do force it to open in front? I tried having _blank in there, but that just opens a browser window.

this is what I have now (using greensock plugins, but my question is regarding the navigate to url area):

animating on a path?

Hi,

I need to animate a bunch of triangles on a path. The point of this triandle needs to follow the path.

See movie attached.

Is there a way to do this? I just want a stream of triangles following a path.

I have a project that keeps throwing this error, but I can't see, to figure out how to find it:

TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.

It's a very large project. How can I search for this?

adding a shape to a path

Hi,

I need to get 6 arrows (varying lengths which is the tricky part) to go in a circle. Is there a way to add shapes to a path? Secondly, is there a way to add EDITABLE shapes to a path?

Hi,

I get asked to do these types of effects all the time, and I think that there was something along these same lines on the last Adobe Suite packaging, but check out www.webex.com and there is this streak of light.

normally I can cobble something together, but this one is really eluding me. Any ideas?

converting AS3 to AS2

I'm in the process of learning Actionscript 3. Halfway through my training, I realize that there are several of my clients that may require me to save to Flash 8 or below.

How painful is it to convert to AS2, or can that even happen? I don't want to have to learn both.

old school font control?

I have a client that is doing email blasts. Their email tool (Mercury) doesn't play nice with css. I need to be able to add <font> tags, their sizes, etc. which used to just get added to the code, but now it's all style sheet stuff.

Is there any way to set up Dreamweaver to write ancient code?
