argggh. Not sure if this bug is new with Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 or existed in 12 which I skipped. My photo albums added to Mobile albums have all photos older then 1970 showing dates (in Photoshop elements) of 12/39/1969 6:59 PM. This is a pain. Not sure if it will scree up the date taken values which at least for now seems to be valid in the Metadata.

Not sure why but suddenly a have been welcomed to Creative cloud. I certainly don't want it and since no CC products are owned there is no way to unsubscribe.

Uninstall Photoshop and Previere Elements 10

I cannot get photshop elements 10 (or previere elements 10) to uninstall. It seems to be almost done and then gets

Error 1316.The specified account already exists.

and rolls back the uninstall.

I do see a manual procedure listed for uninstalling pse put none for pre.

Wrong date on AVI file

I have a number of avi files (original DV camera) that show the wrong date created in Premiere in a number of places.

The files were recorded in 1996. The files show dates of 2016. I can't find anything to correct the dates.

Did this go GA??

I am running photshop elements 10 and syncing my albums to Photoshop.com.

I keep getting some pictures going out of order (even if I sort again). Looks like items are those at certain time boundaries. Example have some pictures set as taken at 9:33 am and later. They show up online as 12:33 PM (not sure why) but then i have a picture that was taken at 12:26 PM and it stays as 12:26 and ends up earlier in Photoshop.com album.

ADE 2.0 unable to authorize.

Note I previously had this with 1.8 preview 4. some others also reported it.

Attempts to authorize computer fail. Note I now have 1.8 and 1.7 uninstalled.

When clicking on autorize computer shows

click continue and fill out the next screen with adobeid and password (sameone I use to login to this forum)

And get following error

Smartsound Quicktracks for CS5

The third party page for CS5 talks about a new quicktracks plugin for CS5. However the Smartsound currently says that CS5 is not supported. Is this just that it is still in development and will come along a lot later (as it did for CS4) or is it available somewhere now?

Just realized that I need some template resource from cs4 in cs5. Most if not all these sample CS5 resources are totally different from the earlier ones. So whats the best way to move them over so I don't have to completely rebuild some of my older projects.

DV Date in CS5

DV files in CS5 are now suppose to carry the creation datetime. I have found one place to display it so far, however at least for the files I have tried that I just captured from a DV recorded in 1996 it Displays a date of 09/24/16. I am also see the time off by some hours but perhaps thats the assumption of an incorrect timezone somewhere.

Any one else experiment with this in CS5 and can comment.

SYNCDB (pse7 to photoshop.com) needs to be supported in backup/restore

Having just run into the case of moving to a new computer, I have run into the problem that although the catalog can be backed up and restored, the Syncdb is ignored. The SYNCDB is a subdirectory of the Catalog directory. In my case with the My Catalog default it is sub directory of that directory. On vista \ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elementes\Catalogs\My Catalog.

In my case after restoring to the new computer it started a sync cycle and than started uploading new copies of every single photo. Did about 100 photos (with 5000 or so to go) when I checked and found it was doing this. I had to kill the sync, move over the Syncdb from the old computer, and start sync again. A now have 100 or so extra photos in photoshop.com to try and find and delete. At leaset thats better than doubling the space used on photoshop.com.

Obviously, the restore option also needs to support choices on whether to restore the catalog, the syncdb or both.

Captions

I don't suppose Adobe and the other software vendors can get together on where Captions should be placed in a Jpeg. For example I believe that Microsoft places captions in as Document Title and PSE puts it as Description. The net result as photos are passed around your friends and family my well not see the Captions that you put in.

Add existing photo to version set

Currently there is no way within Photoshop elements to add a photo into a version set. There are currently lots of ways to end up disconnecting photos from a version set or create copies to be placed outside a version set. Later on you might decide you want to recombine them as versions. It is also possible that non-digital photos are being scanned with different options on one or multiple scanners. Several other ways such as receiving multiple copies from others, recovering damaged disks, etc, leave you with multiple pictures you may want to combine into a version set.
