whcshdata.htm or whcshdata.js

It looks like after upgrading to Robohelp 10, the Webhelp compile no longer produces a "whcshdata.htm" file in the output, but instead produces "whcshdata.js." I can't find anything in RN about htis change, but wondering if anyone knows if this is true?

Search Highlighting Issues

I have two issues with Robohelp 9 that I'm hoping someone can help me solve. 1.) I change the color of the highlighting to yellow, but RoboHelp reverts it back to the default gray when compiling. 2.) When searching in the output, the highlight is not always on the term, but generally on words around the term.

Example: I entered the search term "Help."

Can I hyperlink the index?

Using RoboHelp 8. When I create a PDF, the index entries are not hyperlinked? Is it possible to do that?

Why does Robohelp want to edit the rhextdocauxdata.apj file?

We have a group of five writers working on a single Help project. Whenever one particular writer works on the Help project, RoboHelp asks to edit the rhextdocauxdata.apj file (it returns the message, To execute the selected action, the files in the list below need to be writable). This does not happen to any of the other writers working on the same project. Does anyone know whey Robohelp would want this particular writer to update this file? We are on Robohelp 8. The source files are in TFS, but we have not integrated RoboHelp with TFS--we check files out before editing in RoboHelp.

We don't have any links to Frame documents, which is what I think this file tracks, and the file is empty:

Context-sensitivity, Robohelp and .NET

Our product is mostly coded in C++, with newer modules in .NET. When we connect the context sensitivity for the C++ portion, we use Map IDs.

For .NET portion, we don't have map IDs, only string values.

My developers are wondering if for the .NET portions, we can use HIDD_<> string that maps to an ID which maps to a Topic. If we can use that instead our .NET control name (example: "DriftView") it would help them avoid having to maintain the Control Name to ID mapping.

I think we can still assign a [fake] id for sake of consistency, but in short if RH can be driven by the HIDD_<> string, then we probably have a workaround for .NET Apps whose dialog/control names are strings (and not ids).

Does anyone have a similar issue that they have solved, and can you give us some guidance?

Running RoboHelp X5 with Team Foundation Server (TFS)

Does anyone run RoboHelp X5 integrated with Team Foundation Server (TFS)? My company is moving from VSS to TFS, and I was wondering if anyone else is using TFS integrated with RoboHelp?

Problems opening a project from version control

If I click the "Open Project from Version Control" button on the Open Project dialog box, RoboHTML freezes. I eventually have to end the app from the Task Manager. I'm running X5 with SP2. It was working recently, so I think it may be another program is interfering? Has anyone else run into this problem. I've tried uninstall and reinstall with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Tailoring content within a single help project

I understand that I can use conditional text to customize our WebHelp for different audiences. This is the first time that I have worked on an application that needs the WebHelp tailored to two different audiences. If I understand the conditional text feature in Robohelp, I think that I have to generate different Help systems for each version. This means two different Help systems for a single product.

My developer would like all the content in a single Help system with "flags" to indicate which topics should appear based on how the user logs into our program (we host the application on our server). Does anyone know if there is a way to do this using RoboHelp X5.0.2?
