Andrei,

Good post... I am wondering if you know how to add a TXT Record when a client hosted on BC needs one for their Microsoft Office 365 use.

I have tried using the info that my client's IT guy gave but I keep getting an error.

Any help or direction on this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your post!

Please remove the current SRV records Art and create two records as explained below:

The first record should be created as follows:

Hostname: _sip._tls

Record Type: SRV

TTL: 1 Hour

Record Data: 100 1 443 sipdir.online.lync.com

The second record should be created as follows:

Hostname: _sipfederationtls._tcp

Record Type: SRV

TTL: 1 Hour

Record Data: 100 1 5061 sipfed.online.lync.com

Andrei,

Here's the message from our IT guy. I'm not sure the text record is set up correctly. See the screen capture as to how he entered it. NOTE: The host name window is blank. What should go there? I believe this is why Microsoft can not verify our domain name as he mentions below.

"The main thing I am trying to do is get the domain (www.lexingtonbaptist.org) verified by entering a txt record and then MS verifies that we actually own the domain and then I can proceed with the setup. MS cannot verify the domain."
