Hi Mario,

We use Method 1: <input type="text" name="FirstName" id="FirstName" value="{module_firstname}" />

But lately none of the values show. Customers need to refresh the whole page to get it to work and sometimes it signs them out and they need to login again.

It's not just happening once or twice - it's happening on EVERY single checkout. Is there anything we can do to make it show without them needing to hit refresh?

Also when they hit checkout (on the shopping cart page) the URL address becomes really messy and goes to https but changes to the world secure systems domain which I think is why the modules aren't showing?

hey mario I used method 1 and it works a treat the only thing that i need to sort out is if the customer hasnt selected a shipping charge and logins they are taken to the Registration page without being prompt to select shipping charge.

is there an easy fit for this?

I'm really happy to have found this tread. I was getting a headache trying to solve this problem. Thank you very much for your input.

The second method is the best for me. Unfortunatly, when the user log's in, the login for sits on top of the registration form. Is there a way to hide the login form when the user et logged in. One form replaces the other. Is there a way to make it so that one form hides when the other is reveiled.

Mind my english. My main langage is french and I don't get to write too much in english.

You can use this trick:

- Place your form inside the div that looks like this:

</div>

{module_isloggedin} will render either 1 or 0, depending on weather the user is logged in or not, so the class name will be either "hide-form-1" or "hide-form-0".

You can then use CSS to hide the form if the user is logged in:

.hide-form-1{display:none}

That may flicker so you actually may want to have the form hidden by default and then use hide-form-0 and display:block to reveal it.

I hope that makes sense.

Thank you very much for your answer. I finally did something similar. But the form would not work for an unknown reason. I am not a programmer. But I figured something out.

I put another hidden div (like you mentioned) and put in a link to my login page.

I also put this java code at the end of the page and that did the trick.

It must seem ugly to you code's eyes, but it work's.

Now I have to figure out how to make BC calculate a federal tax, make a sub-total and then calculate a provincial tax on the sub-total. I live in canada and the TSP is added to the sub-total before calculating the TVQ (provincial tax).

Any Ideas..

Hi Mario, I finally got BC to do what I wanted! When the user is not logged in, it reveal the login form. Then, when the user is logged in, it hides the login form and it and reveils the registration form.

I think the hidden login form was not working because I had only one div (the hidden one). The problem was solved when I put the form in its own div inside the hidden div. Look something like this:

I have added option 1 to my form. But my client is reporting that for preregister users that have the fields pre populated are not seeing the field information in web results workflow notification ie, name, and email address. I am assuming it is because BC already sees it in the CRM and just adds new field information to the contact. But how can I get those fields to display in web results, client needs to see it in email notification because employee that receives notifications does not have BC access.

I just wanted to add this to the above portion:

"You should also collect usernames and password on the checkout so that the users can use these to log in on the next purchase. To do this, inside the Admin Console, go to Site Manager->Webforms, choose your webform and add the Username and Password fields. Then, re-insert the form in the checkout (registration buy) layout."

Make sure you set your webform properties to automatically subscribe the user to a secure zone.

In your webform go to "Edit Properties" -- and change "Secure Zone" to "Member Only Area"

Hey Mari,

I'm using something similar at the top of the cart page to remind members to login and get "wholesale" pricing.

After they login, the products on the store show the discounted pricing.

However, any item that was in the shopping cart before they logged in is priced as if they were not.

If you change the quantity of an existing cart item the price corrects itself.

Is there a way to force refresh all cart items after the user logs in?

Hi Eric,

We have the same issue plus also the reverse which is even more annoying

Using our tracking software I can see:

1) The wholesale customer logged in to wholesale area

2) added products to their cart at wholesale pricing

3) they then logged out and products to their cart were still as wholesale <- they 'should' have been retail pricing as they were then logged out

4) the customer seeing wholesale pricing but NOT logged in selected retail freight which is free shipping <- Bug - wholesale and retail customers have different pricing and different shipping.

5) the customer on checkout entered their wholesale name, email etc and paid with a credit card.

6) In summary - this wholesale customer is getting wholesale pricing (even though logged out) and getting retail free shipping.

We can't afford to send this order free shipping. Free shipping is ONLY for retail pricing as retail pricing is double the price of wholesale.

I have double checked and free shipping is ONLY on retail/consumers yet this customer is getting wholesale pricing yet they aren't seeing wholesale shipping options. The pricing should have been reset to retail pricing as they were NOT logged in.

Mario - is there a bug number regarding these issues yet?

Unfortunately the cart is completely static, you could even have a customer add a product to cart and when you change the price in the admin - the product in the cart doesn't change to reflect that change. This has appened quite a lot before we could set the cart lifetime to an hour, a customer could order today and finish the cart in a month and get a one-month old price. The customer then doesn't want to buy the product at the higher price and cancels the order entirely.

If objects in the cart where bound to real products and zone checks for wholesalers, these issues wouldn't happen.

Hi,

This is happening again.

Has anyone had any luck making the cart refresh?

From our tracking software it's happening in the same siting as BC is strangely logging them out so setting 1 hour lifetime wont work and will just annoy customers who think their cart should be there.

Im having trouble with method 2

Insert a Generic Secure Zone Login box on this page. Make sure that the action URL of this form has ZoneID=-1 in it and apend &PageID={module_pageaddress} to it e.g. action="/ZoneProcess.aspx?ZoneID=-1...&PageID={module_pageaddress}"

I get the following message

403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.

You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.

I'm trying to get this to work on my site, I have it fully working but I'm confused on the new user registration part.

I'm collecting the username and password if they are a new user, but if they are an logged in user how do you handle this, as they are required fields and you have client side checks in place that make sure they are filled in?

Here is the code i'm using -
