Hello - I've recently started using Form Central and for the most part it's meeting needs. Ideally, I would like to use the webform option, but note that 'Fill out the form, save, come back later to finish and then submit when completed' is not available with this option. Are there any plans for this to be included as a feature for web forms in the future?

We are currently working on adding support to "Fill out and save forms offline, then submit when back online" to the web forms. This should be available in the next few months.

Great news, I was looking for the same feature, so people don't have to start over each time; my recollection is even if they don't complete the form it still sends the partial info to the database and you have to remove the incomplete responses/registrations, etc. it would also be nice if it only sent it to the database if the form is completed, in the case of registration maybe a feature that says if it is a paid registration (pay pal) or in the case of a fillable PDF where they will send payment by check it could populate all the fields except for the payment field.

I've found that when trying to convert an online form to PDF it turns it into two pages even though the data could easily fit on one. Ideally I would use PDF forms but formatting wise online seems to be my only option.

Go to the Design tab, bottom right corner there is a View drop down. Change it to Page View - this will show the page breaks for the PDF. Page breaks for web and PDF are independent of each other.

How can I manually enter multiple survey responses? Or have a computer set up to loop once one entry is submitted?

If you have a paid account you can look under the Options Tab for "Redirect URL" and select "Reload the form (redirect to the first page)".

Fernando, I don't know if there's a way to change the URL, but I insert a hyperlink in the e-mail I'm sending out to the form users, and change the "text to display" to a word or phrase that fits. Like "Register Here".

The link can't be renamed in FormsCentral.... but you might be able to use a service like http://bit.ly to create a custom link that is easier to remember or like Josh mentioned in this post (http://forums.adobe.com/message/5826419) you could embed your FormsCentral form on a page with a easier link to remember. Another option is to generate a QR code that people can scan with their phone (which is more and more common).

Gen: do you have an update on this? Is it possible for users to now save their forms offline and then submit when back online, or some kind of save functionality so that users can complete longer forms over several days without worrying about losing their work? Thanks!

I have Adobe Acrobat Pro. I am a nursing student. I created a form as a concise way to compile data on meds as my own study tool. I have reached an obstacle. I created my form from on my own. It is short, sweet and exactly what I need. Acrobat launched the FormsCentral when I wanted to create this, so I didn't know I was going to be prompted to pay money to upgrade anything.

All I want to do is take the form I have created and have the data move into an Excel form. FormsCentral seems to do this, but using this function locally on my own machine does not. How do I export the DATA not the whole FORM into Excel as I go?

There does seem to be a Save Webform in the Options tab on form central, that says people can part fill, save webform and come back to complete it? Can i take ifrom the above that this function does not work, because I also wish to be able to do this because of the complexity /length of my form?

Also, is there any way I can use more than 500 fields?

That is a new function and I believe it only works for the PDF versions, not the web/online forms. I don’t know about the 500 field limitation, maybe someone else can answer that

Sorry, this FAQ wasn't updated when we added to Save as Web Form feature. I updated the table.

In a single form you cannot have more than 500 fields. Only workaround is to setup multiple forms. You can use Redirect URLs to go to the next form or just list them as separate parts on your website/email when you post it.

I'm creating a form for employee contact information to send out to our employees. Is there a way that I can get the information submitted in the electronic form back as an adobe document rather than compiled into the table? Actually, both would be nice. This would allow me to print the information and keep it in their individual personnel files, as well as have a complete list.

Maybe this was discussed elsewhere, but regarding the choices of "web" or "PDF" for distribution is it possible/practical to have a form available in both formats? Here is why I ask - I anticipate a certain percentage of my target respondents to have problems using a web site link and ask my support staff to email them a PDF to fill out. Some will be happy to use a URL on a tablet or a phone and respond. Some old school folks will just want to sit in front of their desktop and open up a document.

We post both the fillable PDF (print and mail) forms and the online forms (register or sponsor & pay) linked to Pay Pal; as you said there are some that prefer to fill out the form, print and mail with a check and some businesses don’t allow the use of Pay Pal.

I live in Singapore and the upgrade for FormCentral (so we can download as PDF) will not work. If we do get through, we are required to use a Credit Card from US/CAN/MEX, or when we use the SEA site, it justs directs us to Adobe XI which we already have. Would be helpful to know if I'm missing somethig here! Thanks in advance.

Is there a way to distribute the web vesrsion of the form without having it hosted in FormsCentral? I'd like to use the form to gather information but will be prevented by company policy from directing customers to a hosted site. The pdf format will not work because it does not retain the show /hide logic nor the attachment capability

I'm afraid the more I read the more I get confused so I would like to ask a few streamlined questions:

1. I want to create a single form to be used only by four Quality Control supervisors to monitor our 120 employees on a continual basis.

2. I want to gather the data results automatically that upper management can view.

It seems from my reading so far that a webform is the best way to do that.I have experimented with a few forms but what I'm finding most confusing is the distribution and how it is hosted. Can a user save the file sent via email and use it multiple times? Would it be better to host on an intranet? Lastly, I purchased Acrobat Pro XI with the understanding that Forums Central was part of the subscription but I was not able to effectively do what I have done so far without trying the $0.99 trial upgrade. Do I need this upgrade for my intended use?

I'm new to this and am wondering if I have to choose one way to get this out - or can I can post a link on my website and save the pdf form and mail it out to individuals? If I create both will one not send in responses? Not sure if I can actually do both or if it will get confused and only one way work. Help?

If there is sensitive information collected on a form, how secure is that information?
