Too bad "free" FormCentral accounts no longer exist. The extra requirement of adding a credit card and remebering to cancel takes away the truly free status. But anywhoo, .99 is not too far from free.

More importantly though, one would think just having a regular/general Adobe account would suffice in order to receive notification vs needing a specific FormCentral account.

Hi SI_MSD7;

In order to receive Email Notifications, a user only needs to have the "Free" account with FormsCentral, the "Free" account level does not require anything to sign up, no credit card and nothing to cancel, simply sign up for a Free account. For the form author setting up Email Notifications, that requires a paid level subscription, but other users that they wish to add to the Notifications only need to have Free accounts.

My bad, I didn't notice the tiny "Create Free Account" link in the upper right hand corner. Before the site was updated, the Free Account option was alot more noticeable. I actually already have a paid account, I was just trying to send a test notification to a different e-mail address which pointed me to this thread.

So cool, now I know a free account does exist haha. So what do you get with a free account these days? If I'm not mistaken, it was 1 form, 500 responses back in the past.

The Free account allows 1 form that you author in your account at a time and up to 50 responses.

I run a number of websites and would like the "From" field to reflect that particular sites "website@" address, which is me (I have a paid accout). How can I do that?

Hi ggaul2001;

For the Notifications, the option you have for defining the "From" field is to choose a field in the form, it is designed so the notification can come "From" the form filler so you can then reply to them. You cannot define a specific email address for that field except the generic FormsCentral email.

Is the "free account" still available? I can not find it. I simply want the submitted responses to go to another email in the office and for them to be able to review all responses.

Yes, I am not sure why it is so hard to find but to sign up for a "Free" account go to the "Sign In" page and below the username and password boxes, below the "Sign In" button there is a link to "Get an Adobe ID". When you sign up for the Adobe ID through there you'll have a Free FormsCentral account:

I can't get this to work. The email account is verified by no responses are getting through. In forms the profile tab of the one who should get a response says 'co-author opened an older version'.

Hi;

There are two "co-authors" on the form. One should be getting email notifications and if they are not they should check any spam filtering. If you look at the bottom where the users who the form is shared with are listed:

The one with the red "*" has been verified and should receive email. The red "*" just means that you have modified the form since they last viewed it. If they open the form today that would change to say they have viewed the current version, but it does not affect Email Notifications at all, it is just information for you.
The one with the mail envelope icon by them has not verified their FormsCentral account and would not receive Email Notifications. That user should follow the instructions in this thread to create and/or verify their account.

I did run a test submission (I deleted my submission from the response table) to double check Notification emails were sent and as a co-author I did receive one. Check for sure which user is not seeing them, and see which they are in my note above...
