Access to product attribute values in cart using Liquid

Working on an optical store with lots of important attributes that need to be displayed in the cart for the customer. Currently, according to the docs, these are the only properties available for a product item:

productId

catalogId

name

code

description

price

price_raw

quantity

totalPrice

totalPrice_raw

smallImage

url

The addition of an array of selected attribute objects (label, value) would allow easy access to this information for advanced cart layouts. Right now the only way seems to be loading the product page for each item as json and getting at the attributes that way. This is obviously not optimal.

Idea: New editor - improve image controls

- In the old editor you could add an image and then float it left/right, add margin etc. Of course in the old editor this meant it inserted inline styles, which wasn't ideal. If the CSS styles function was working, we could define a class in that list like ".img-left", thus avoiding the inline styles problem, but allowing clients the flexibility they need when inserting images. If there's another solution that's better someone chime in on this.

- It would also be helpful for On Page SEO if we could define image alt tags via the insert method.

Issue: New Editor - Tables

When you insert a table you get the following below. There needs to be some base internal/admin styles for the table so it does not just come out like this.

This does not seem to support render="collection" Collection="mycollection" template="yourtemplate.tpl" Not passed into template and will render its default output of option fields.

Collection="mycollection" template="" render="collection" renders results inline

Bug: Editor - Module in table

This may need to be reported to the editor developer.

If you do the following:

<tbody><tr>{module_webapps id="23399" filter="all" resultsPerPage="100" hideEmptyMessage="true"}</tr></tbody>

And save a page/layout/webapp/Email Campaign in the admin the editor reformats it to:

{module_webapps id="23399" filter="all" resultsPerPage="100" hideEmptyMessage="true"}

</table>

The old editor suffered the same issue as a note. Not sure if your able to fix that or not.

For system form pages create a new module to display form results.

For the system page this would still work the same but also support collection ability under the new rendering engine allowing people to finally arrange and sort the module

The added bonus is that this could then be used on custom landing pages as well.

Bug: Liquid math filters don't work with module data

At present, Liquid treats all variables as strings, regardless of how they were setup inside the module, and then concatenates them instead of doing math. This seems related to two errors:

If you have a web app (or some other module) with a number field, that number will be converted to a string. That shouldn't happen.
Liquid is supposed to convert strings to numbers in its math operations anyway, which it is not doing.

So, between these two errors we cannot do math in any reasonable way right now. Too bad, since that would open up a lot of power.

Enable CSS dropdown in new editor

- The CSS dropdown in the new editor needs to allow for clients to select from a list of predefined styles.

- We as partners should be able to define which styles show up in this list on a site by site basis.

Make E-commerce products list easier to work with

Some of us have hundreds/thousands of products in various catalogues and it is a pain to update only certain products. Some suggestions to make updating easier:

Introduce a filter by catalogue in the product listing, enabling the user to view and update all the products in a specific catalogue in one listing.
Give the user the choice to sort alphabetically or by item code in the product listing
Make certain attributes editable in the listing itself instead of having to select the product and tab to the correct place and save e.g. enabled indicator, prices. This will help a lot with managing product availability and price fluctuations.
Let user specify a specific catalogue or item code range for product list downloads (to edit and upload again) - it is easier to download and update only the 100 products you need to update than download 3000 products, delete 2900 from the file and then update the 100 you were actually trying to update without messing up the file.

Add support for link target in the new editor

Idea: Custom Global Object for use in Liquid

It would be nice to have a custom global object available in Liquid. This could be set automatically on page creation by the system looking inside a _System subfolder called "globals" for json files. Each json string inside that folder will be added to the custom namespace.

For example, if the official namespace for custom globals was {{custom}}, a file called companyProfile.json with a json string inside it would be added to the namespace as {{custom.companyProfile}} with its contents accessible from there.

The closest thing we have right now is includes, which still must be added to each module layout you want to use them on. This is fine for module-specific needs, but cumbersome and clumsy for site-wide needs.

Benefits:

data which should be accessible on any page can be accessed without having to create a collection on every module layout
Save time
Reduce repetition (and therefore coding errors)
Help reduce liquid markup clutter in our html.
custom global variables can help drive the logic for local filters and operations

It would also be pretty powerful if collections could be processed inside those global json files. Then we could create our own powerful object to drive our sites.

Manage emails via API

Create Web Forms via API

I would love the ability to be able to create and update web forms from the api.

Why have customers re-create the same forms over and over? With this would could create the forms and have them styled for bootstrap or foundation auto-magically.

Bug: Editor - Strange line breaking

This occurs from pasting content into the editor to BC's toolbox modules being inserted.

If you insert the comments - comment form for example, the form html itself does not wrap, it line breaks...

There seems to be a rendering engine bug, it will only ever render "grid" even when the value is list. BC does not seem to be able to understand a passed paramater, I think there is a miss-timing with the rendering maybe? The if runs before it fetches the passed parameters?
