Yes, CS6 is still supported and available, but it is now two releases behind. You should seriously consider the CC-2014 versions of the products at this point.

Thank you very much for the response. I am not sure what kind of program is used to scan the machines in the organization. This scan runs regularly on the machines to identify if there is any insecure or unsupported applications used by staff. In this case, we need to buy the upgraded version of CS6. I assume CS6 is still supported by Adobe. Please let me know if not.

Slight update I also tried using the repair function with the Windows 7 disc and that did not seem to work either. I am at my wits end with this one. Anything anyone could do to help would greatly be appreciated.

No, Adobe no longer officially supports any of the CS5 products.

However, we are not aware of any reports of any anti-virus / anti-malware software rejecting any Adobe products.

Exactly which such software is doing that? You may have very outdated or crufty virus / malware definitions. Try to get updates for them.

Confirming Bob Levine's analysis.

None of the font families you mention are bundled with any Adobe Creative Suite or Creative Cloud product.

Some of the fonts that are bundled include some of the faces of Myriad Pro and Minion Pro.

If your company doesn't already have licenses for same, you (and/or your IT folks) will need to license those fonts. Note that of the fonts you mention, there are numerous versions available from a number of font foundries with subtle and sometimes major differences between these versions. Such differences could significantly alter the layout of existing publications. You really need to make sure you acquire the fonts that match what you were previously using if you need to continue work on existing publications.

Those fonts, AFAIK, are not bundled with Creative Suite. Where ever you got them from before is where you’ll need to get them from again.

Once you have them you’ll need to install them, or depending upon the permissions on the computer, have your IT dept take care of it.

The fonts that are bundled and installed when installing creative suite are not accessible in photoshop, illustrator or indesign.

The fonts referring to are fonts i am used to working with in previously mentioned applications (ie, helvetica, gill sans, aachen, etc)

These fonts do not show up in the fonts control panel.

By “computer is not using the Adobe Suite fonts” can we assume that you are really asserting that fonts bundled with and installed with one of the versions of the Adobe Creative Suite 6 are not visible to other applications? Or is there some other problem?

Exactly which fonts are you referring to? And which applications are not able to access the fonts? Are the fonts accessible from Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop?

Can you see the fonts in the Fonts Control Panel? If not, what happens if you search your system for the fonts (all the fonts bundled with Adobe applications have the suffix .otf)?

Provide us some rudimentary information and we may be able to assist you.

i have Adobe Creative Suite CS6 running on windows 8. Computer is not using the Adobe Suite fonts. The program was installed on this computer prior to my employment here. I need help to troubleshoot this font problem. I have requested help from IT but we were unsuccessful in locating the problem.

CS6 Crashing

For starters I have the CS6 Master Collection, using Windows 7 and my video card is an NVidia 670mx.

I am having some issues in terms of using any program in CS6 that I have installed. Initially I was trying to open Premiere but when the splash screen came up it crashed almost immediately. I tried Photoshop next but after the splash screen I got the message, "Unable to continue because of a hardware of system error. Sorry, but this problem is unrecoverable."

Basically any other program I tried to open in the CS6 suit just crashes when I try to open it some even after the splash page.

I tried uninstalling the entire suite and reinstalling it but that did not work. I also tried redownloading Quicktime but that also did not seem to work. Currently downloading the latest video card drivers and for some reason that seemed to be unsuccessful as well.

I am trying to work on a project right now but if I can't even open the program that makes it a little more difficult. Any help would be great.

It doesn't matter which program but in CS6 when I try to open file, file info, the pop-up is blank. The only way to continue using the program is to press esc. I've searched the web and several discussions and the problem isn't isolated to Windows or Mac, but apparently CS6.

I also have CS3 installed and the file info panel works fine.

same issue

use illustrator of a part of master collection. all other programms of mc works fine, but illustrator don't work, not the 32bit and not the 64bit. (Win8.1 pro).

We tried again over a DSL connection, in case this was a proxy issue. Got the same error.

Mac running 10.9.5, latest AAMEE, CS6 Design and Web Premium.

Hope to see a response so we can resolve and deploy this expensive software.

PS I deleted my previous message as the error actually did occur again on our DSL test.

guten Tag,

ich habe ein CS 6 Programm auf einem Windows-PC und einem Windows-Laptop (Studentenversion). Jetzt ist der Windows-PC defekt und es lohnt sich nicht, das Gerät reparieren zu lassen. Jetzt möchte ich einen iMac kaufen. Kann ich jetzt eine halbe Lizenz meines Programms auf Mac umsetzen, weil ich den Windows-Laptop noch behalten möchte?

Oder muss ich auf dem Mac noch eine Windows-Partition einrichten um mein Programm weiter zu nutzen?

Wenn nur mit Windows-Partition möglich, wie kann ich das Programm installieren, da auf dem defekten PC keine Deinstallation mehr möglich ist?

Ferner möchte ich evtl. das Programm Adobe-Muse-CC als Studentenversion mieten. Ist es auch hier möglich, dass das Programm, wie bei den anderen Studentenversionen, auf dem iMac und auf einem MacBook zusätzlich installiert werden kann, natürlich nicht gleichzeitig nutzbar.

Wenn ich im Forum nicht richtig bin, kann mir jemand eine Mail-Adresse von Adobe nennen, wo ich das erfragen kann?

Re-isnstallation of CS4 on a win7 64bit plattform was no problem. But - I can not open any kind of files, neither *.psd nor *.jpg. Even creating a new file in Photoshop is not possible. I do not get a message from Adobe/Photoshop.

Now I am looking for any idea to solve this problem.

CS6 update problems

I have CS6 and Windows 7. If I want to test for updates the application manager can't get contact to the server. It refers to maybe a firewall. But as far as I know (I'm no expert) I haven't installed a firewall. What might be the reason? It worked fine for some years and as fas as I remember I didn't change any setting. I'm using Avira as virus protector. Any advice understandable for non native English speakers and not very experienced PC user?

Not sure exactly but I think the upgrade is about $1,000 and the full

license is about $2500. Look around at authorized resellers. You may be able

to find a better price.

Then you need licenses for each user. Since you only have on copy of CS5

you¹d get an upgrade for that but you¹d have to pay full price for the other

two. Approximate cost would be about $6,000

You¹re far better off going to Creative Cloud, IMO.

Corrupt Install Database

I had to reinstall my windows so I deactivated Creative Suite Premium CS3. Now When I try to reinstall it it says the install database is corrupt.

I know there is a file I can delete that would fix this , but I have forgotten which one. Does anyone know which file?

So I needed to update a computer to Win 8.1 from Vista to load the new creative suite. I was in a hurry and while I knew I had all my data saved, programs got wiped in the update. I would love to reload, my LICENSED copy of CS3 Creative Suite Design Premium on to another computer and get the updates. The install went fine and it is activated. I don't have a link to program updates, 10.1 etc... Adobe tech support looks at supplying a link as support and sent me here. Anyone out there have links to the PS, InDesign, Acrobat and Illustrator updates?

As far as not knowing how it will shake out...

I appreciate that Windows 10 may be 'not nearly finished' - but I find it hard to believe that Adobe doesn't know the answer to my question given that they claim to have been working with Microsoft for over a year to try and solve these issue(s).

Which Adobe products are you talking about? Only the latest versions of Creative Cloud products have been optimized for HiDPI displays in Windows.

As for Win 10 it’s far too early for anyone to know about how things will shake out there. It’s not nearly finished.

I'm well aware of the UI scaling issues with some Adobe products running Windows 7 or 8 on HiDPI screens.

My guess (and it is just a guess) is that the issues are so deep seated with the current versions of Windows that this issue can't /wont be fully fixed in any version of Windows 8.

The question is: have these issues been fixed in the development of Windows 10?

HI.Tried the link above production premium is only available in French and German no English files.
BUT I got it right.
MAIN PROBLEM:ENCORE didn't want to burn,write,create folder or image.Not the DVD writer error.
If you have tried everything else suggested THEN:
Adobe forum: uninstall and re-install. ONE slight problem not mentioned any uninstalling or format of PC or adobe software.YOU MUST DEACTIVATE the product first.

1. Deactivate and un-install all cs6
2. Download and use the adobe cleaner Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 Point 3 and choose OS-Run it .

3.Clean all
4.Run disk and system file clean up.Restart PC.
5.Let system clean run. Once logged in. Run CC cleaner again. BUT NOW select clean adobe credentials.
6.Restart again.

7.Insert your CS6 production premium disc and TADA! It worked for me.

If this doesn't work go to adobe,sign in,choose a certain product premiere,after effects etc, choose installing or activation, and click contact us. There should be an option of CHAT to us not just the search forum.
Explain that you can't install from disc and ask to see your license and serial number if it can be deactivated and then try activate again.
Not the most elegant but efficient for me. I spent 2 days on this searching,phoning, chatting, restarting

YET I'm still stuck by ENCORE not burning to disc LOL! So actually was all in vain but atleast if you have bad disc and serial number issues this could shed some like.

-Can't install from cs6 cd-I have a serial number -I've tried the forums I've even tried phone support which no longer exists for cs6,got the correct specs of pc win7 64bit 8gb ram etc.I worked before.
-I uninstalled cs6 production premium for student/teachers as after effects wasn't burning,writing,making image or dvd folders.

-This forum said uninstall everything and run cleaner. I did now when I part in cs6 first gives "restart needed before install" done it twice then ignored, then the install go to selection of software,click next and error 15 comes up tried all again then said installation can't complete contact forum and back to the beginning.
-Then tried downloading creative crowd while I was signed in on my adobe account, download completed but didnt want to install
-Then went to adobe application manager downloaded, aswell didn't want to install.
WHAT IS HAPPENING? to simplestaright for support.

I developed a Photo Collage Toolkit for Photoshop. I feel its very easy to create PSD templates that can be populated with images.

Photoshop scripting is powerful and I believe this package demonstrates this video showing a 5 image collage PSD template being populates with images:

The package includes four simple rules to follow when making Photo Collage Template PSD files so they will be compatible with my Photoshop scripts.

Size the photo collage templates for the print size you want - width, height and print DPI resolution.
Photo collage templates must have a Photoshop background layer. The contents of this layer can be anything.
Photo collage templates must have alpha channels named "Image 1", "Image 2", ... "Image n".
Photo collage templates layers above the background layers must provide transparent areas to let the images that will be placed below them show through.

There are twelve scripts in this package they provide the following functions:

TestCollageTemplate.jsx - Used to test a Photo Collage Template while you are making it with Photoshop.
CollageTemplateBuilder.jsx - Can build Templates compatible with this toolkit's scripts.
LayerToAlphaChan.jsx - Used to convert a Prototype Image Layer stack into a template document.
InteractivePopulateCollage.jsx - Used to interactively populate Any Photo Collage template. Offers most user control inserting pictures and text.

if all companys would do it this way 50% of my SSD space is wasted for backups of bugfixes.
