Make and model tablet? Does it have enough storage space available?

You will lose your saved projects if you uninstall.

I had to reload my Galaxy Note 10.1 (first edition) a couple weeks ago. I just noticed the PS Touch is not installed, so I tried going to Google Play to restore it, and found it asking me to pay $9.99.

I wasn't aware that I would have to pay for an app that came installed on my device, but it's not showing up in my My Apps listing anymore either. What gives? This wasn't a "subscription" I bought, it was software packaged with my device. I should have access to the old version, at least.

Is there any way for me to get the app back without paying for it? If not, well, good luck, guys... the "Express" version is not nearly compelling enough for me to make a decision about whether the newer version of Photoshop Touch is worth $10, when I have plenty of other options for tablet-art available.

If it's in PSD format, PS Touch automatically flattens it when imported. (This is probably because PS Touch supports 12 layers max whereas there are theoretically thousands available in Photoshop.)

PSDs are automatically flattened when imported into PS Touch.

PS Touch has support for only 12 layers max, not to mention no support for adjustment layers, so it's no surprise this limitation was put in there. As hardware matures, I'm sure we'll see something that supports full-on PSDs.

Hello,

I synced my PSD file to Adobe Cloud, but when I upload it to my Adobe touch on my iPad, the layers do not show. It looks like a regular picture?

Been trying for about a week.. I'm on Ipad air, ps touch says it's uploaded. My CC account shows the % of storage used but there are no files in mobile creation...it just says "you haven't synced any files yet" ? Mystery?

Youre a legend. That's done it. You have to turn on "always use native browser". Adobe need to address this as it does access the photos with it off but you can't see the thumb nails. You can access all the events and albums but you can't see the photo. I would have thought that off would mean no access and on would mean access but apparently not. Thanks again for taking the time to look into this.

I seem to recall something about allowing an app access to the Camera Roll via its privacy settings, though I'm having trouble finding it right now. Have you tried that?

Printing will depend on what device your using. If on Android, you will have to install your printer vendor's app to be able to export the project out from PS Touch for printing, for example.

You should be able to email or saving to your device simply by tapping the export icon (5th icon from the upper right in the project selection user interface) > Share (or "Save to" if saving to device) > selecting a project and the file format and then tapping OK.

This is the Photoshop Touch for tablets forum; were you referring to Photoshop CC?

Do you have a high-DPI display and are using Windows? Try Edit > Preferences > Experimental Features and turn on "Scale UI 200%". (Be aware this is for high-DPI displays only.) Also try Edit > Preferences > Interface to change the size of UI text. (Photoshop > Preferences > Interface on Mac.)

It can take a second before everything updates. What make and model tablet are you using? (Always make sure you have a reliable and strong Wi-Fi connection too.)

Sometimes the sign-in process goes kablooey for whatever reason. It can usually be remedied by tapping the options icon (the cogwheel out in the project selection user interface; upper right) > My Account. Sign in that way and you should be able to get everything going again. I just did it on my Google Nexus 7 2013 with no problems.

I Can no longer use this app. It's been broken for me for a while but I was hoping it would be patched. Basically, when I start a project all my photos seem to be available but the thumbnails are blank. Even if i click on a blank thumbnail it cannot load the file. Any pointers? PS: if anyone is considering "contact support" don't. There isn't any. You will trudge through options etc and it will send you back here

My PS Touch files aren't showing up in the creative cloud after I upload them? PS Touch says they are uploaded, gives me a % of storage used but the files are no where to be found when I log in to my CC account from desk top?

I can't use creative cloud on photoshop touch app on android anymore. I really want to know why this happens. I can log in and upload, or download files to cloud by web but I still can only see the message 'cannot connect to server'

I'm not really sure that I understand, you mention that the images are gone once you go online.

Does that mean that you never went online during your sync?

How long time have you had this problem, were you ever able to see your file in CC?

Which Android version as well as PS Touch version are you using?

Whenever I open photoshop it looks as if my entire page has been zoomed out making everything on my page very very tiny and illegible. I would like to know how I could fix this it seems to be a settings issue but I can't figure out how to change it back to normal!

Well, a 4000 x 3000 (about 12 Megapixels) image saved as JPEG 100% quality will average about 2.5 MB in file size. (Note how I said average depending on image.) I can't remember offhand how much PS Touch compresses an image when saved as JPEG. Maybe someone from Adobe staff can comment. There's no way of adjusting how a project gets saved other than the file type when exporting.

PS Touch can handle about 12 Megapixels max (though I've had it go as high as 4000 x 4000 in a new project).

I need to reduce a simple image to less than 5 mb without losing too much quality. How is this possible in Photoshop Touch? I don't understand how to convert the size from pixels to mb etc

AFAIK, there aren't any plans to supplant PS Touch with PS Mix. (At least I haven't heard anything.) It's still available for sale at Google Play; don't know about the App Store.

Mix seems a little hobbled compared to Touch. (e.g., Only 2 layers in Mix vs. 12 available in Touch.) While it's true that Mix can do things that Touch can't like Content-Aware Fill, it can't do more complex compositing. (See the sentence before.)

Since 12 layers is the max layers available in Touch, I think Touch flattening PSDs when imported was a failsafe mechanism. PSDs themselves can have theoretically thousands of layers. Also, Touch itself cannot support other types of layers like adjustment layers and layer masks. (Though you can fake an adjustment layer. Seek out Russell Brown's PS Touch tutorials on using "light layers" at adobe.tv for more info.)

No, not that I know of.

If you have desktop Photoshop (or other image editor), consider exporting as a PSD. You can then use the font used in PS Touch as a placeholder until you get the one you want later.

Files dissappear after Syncing?

On my Galaxy Note Tablet I synced all my projects to creative cloud from Photoshop Touch but I then cannot find them when I go online. It says no files in my account. I have lost all my files. I reset the device thinking they were safe but they are gone. Since resetting the same problem occurs. It says sync complete but no files appear online and the ammount of space used is always 0% . Help appreciated. God bless

Using an iPad with iOS8 I can't import images from the iPad Albums. All I see when I click on the Touch albums are a couple of images saved to CC. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? Thanks,

I had issues updating the app too. It's a little annoying to update the first time. Here's what I did:

1) Close your Photoshop Touch app.

2) Find the app that is called something like Samsung apps. It will run and then the app will disappear from your app list.

3) If it's already not there or once you complete step 2, find the app called GALAXY Apps and open it. This might require an update too.

4) Do a search for Photoshop. You'll get a bunch of options there. Be careful to not choose the app that you have to purchase. Find the photoshop app that requires an update. You may have to sign up for a Samsung account to update it.

That's it, you should be able to connect after that! Hope this helps.

Hi i have been using touch for a good bit of my workflow. its a wonderful app for both ipad and iphone. now i am confused on the new additions. photo shop mix and sketch. are they replacing photo shop touch or they an upgrade of touch. i have noticed with touch you cant import layer files from a desktop psd into touch. how come?

Can't share photos or dialogue box freezes/won't dismiss

Whenever I try to share a photo from my iPad via Messages , the photo often fails to be generated. Furthermore the messages box cannot be cancelled/dismissed. This seems to be a bug.

Also I have problems with syncing with the cloud,as always! Projects appear then disappear, fail to upload or duplicate for no apparent reason!! (I know this should be another post)

Any news when an update will be released?

Don't get me wrong... I absolutely adore Adobe, but... Android is sold more world wide. You would think that there would be at least the app for Premiere or Prelude... There should definitely be a version of Photoshop. A real version like the one they released for iOS.

I get that iOS is glossy and cut, but I ditched my iPad for a Galaxy Note 12.2 fo I could have some real resolution and the S-pen... Not to mention TRUE MULTITASKING! I'm not unhappy with my move at all.

What I am unhappy with is, when you see the page for all the mobile apps, I don't see ANY for Android. Really?! That's why I say that they are abandoning Android. Now, we all know that Adobe pulls thing out of a hat, but I'm certainly not feelin' the love on my devices. SHOW US SOME LOVE, ADOBE!
