Hi;

You can configure a field that allows the user to input an amount (simply use the "Currency" type field and that will be available on the Payments tab as a User Input amount). The amounts would be totalled in the Paypal checkout process, but not in the form itself, there are no calculations within the form currently in FormsCentral.

No, this currently is not possible. It has been requested as a feature, we are currently working on a Form for users to submit such requests and hope to have that posted soon. For now we take note of these requests from the Forums.

We recommend against collecting credit card numbers using FormsCentral, FormsCentral is not PCI compliant.

If you set up the "Paypal" payment method that will allow customers to pay via Credit Card, through Paypal, and that information is not transferred through or stored in FormsCentral.

How do we stop payments from cancelled account?

We setup a forms central account but tthen transferred that account to our client who added their own payment details.

However, adobe are still taking payments out or our bank account and there is no mechanism for us to cancel the payment as we no longer have an account (I had to create one to submit this question) and our bank details are not listed on our clients account?

How do we contact adobe to cancel the payments?

I have tried multiple browsers and cards over multiple days and nothing works! Any idea what's going on?

It's obviously easy to design a form requesting credit card #, exp date, and security code...

But is is the right hing to do?

I would be perfectly happy having the respondent send me their credit card info to allow me to manually key it into my business termial here in my store rather than using PayPal.

But how secure would this be?

I have an Adobe form created that is currently accepting registration for an event at $10 per registratant. It's working fine with Pay Pal right now. I need to add an option of collecting a flat donation with the registration. If the person chooses to add a donation I want it to total both the total registration costs plus their donation amount. Is this possible?

So, just to clarify a little further!

When I assigne a field and select (Check by Mail), the price would be fixed, the description would be Check by mail. What would I put in the $$ field? I have 3 options.

Second question, is there a way to not redirect them to paypa after they select "proceed to checkout" and send my check is selected?

People can click out of the paypal payment part and the form has already been submitted. Is there a way to not record the form until the payment has been completed through PayPal? I have people who will go in and select products, then proceed to check out, then click out. I end up with like 10 orders for them and only 1 payment.

We don't charge any extra fee (just need to pay for FormsCentral service).

Hi Randy,

Your solution works but it is still confusing to our customers when they see the "Proceed to Checkout" button instead of "Submit" when they have chosen to pay by check. Some will choose to exit the form rather than click on "Proceed to Checkout". I would like to request enhancement for show/hide option to allow choice of either "Proceed to Checkout" or "Submit".

My form is set up to allow customers to pay using PayPal, by check or by deduction from pre-paid account. When choosing to pay by check/deduction, I would like the "Submit" button to show up at the bottom instead of the "Proceed to Checkout". If paying by PayPal, I still want the "Proceed to Checkout" button. Is this possible? Everything is working fine, we're just having trouble with folks who are paying by check (or having amount deducted from their pre-paid account) shying away from clicking the "Proceed to Checkout" when they have indicated payment by check or pre-paid account deduction.

Saw this in another similiar posting that has been closed but I saw no solution. Same question I am asking above.

Just a follow up on this issue, which kind of answers my own question and maybe to make it clear to others using this method.

My confusion was thinking the rather than the 'Proceed to Checkout' button showing, if I selected 'Check' that the button would show as a 'submit' button, with the the text 'submit' rather than 'Proceed To Checkout'

Hi Guys,

I have been reading this post and trying to ge this to work, but could do with some clarity of the settings.

I have created the form, with the options to select either PayPal or Cheque, and the show and hide as described works fine.

On the 'Collect Payment' screen I have setup the purchase field as 'PayPal'.

I have also tried adding in a a 2nd purchase field with the option of the 'submit button, (not associated with a field) to see if that works, but no joy.

Am I missing something here?

I can't change my Credit Card.. now what?

So last month my PayPal Mastercard debit card that I used to make payments was used to make unauthorized charges. So I advised PayPal and ot a new card. Today, I tried to update my payment info to the new card and the card was rejected due "Card type not accepted." Really? It's the same card that I was using, just a new number.

Of course I tried customer service chat but that was a waste of time. The guy never really read what I wrote and wanted to send me the link... When I explained I already tried that and that wasn't the problem... he gave me a phone number to call.... I asked if they were open today... after a long pause he said they were only open 5 days a week. Not today.

So... what happens when my account tries to renew and the card doesn't work?

Hi,

It's most likely that when you check out the form, the choices you made on the form have zero balance. In that case, we don't bother bringing the user to PayPal since there is nothing to pay for.

Please double check what choice tou have made on the form, and make sure those choices do have corresponding purchase fields defined. If you are sure you have defined your purchase fields correctly and you do choose the choices that cost money, but you are not brought to PayPal when you check out, please share your form to me emanfu@adobe.com by following the instruction here: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2462, and let me know what choices you selected on the form so that I can try to reproduce the problem you saw.

Defective Paypal redirect

I just added a fourth application fto my account and registered the application with PayPal, when I test the form, intead of sending me to paypal, it

sends me a confirmation then redirects me back to my site. Whats happening here? How come the order is not sent to paypal for processing?

What you say is obviously right. "Locking in" is often associated with discounts.

However, using Orwellian language ("basic" = much less service for dramatically more money - compared with "plus") is just not a good idea.

I get that Adobe wants to go from sales to rental, from products to services. You acheived your virtual monopoly position by making and integrating great software. Your biggest competition is usually your own earlier releases. I get it. You need cash flow.

But please, do not follow in the footseps of the other rentier companies like the telecommunications giants and big banks. They are soon hated for their opaque and disingenuous marketing and pricing games, regardless of the quality of their services.

The temptation must be great, but please don't do it! I have always loved Adobe, but recently, since your move to a rental model I'm getting nervous.

It is understandable that you can’t include all payment gateways. However this is not the right way from business point of view to accept only PayPal gateway for Adobe FormsCentral. At least you should make alternative payment solutions to use 10-20 most popular payment gateways companies.

This forum is for the Adobe FormsCentral online service. We don't support Worldpay and I don't think yoou are using FormsCentral. You should post on a more relevant forum.

What type of field are you trying to map? A choice field or number field? It seems like you are trying to map a number field which wouldn't be possible. You can only assign a fixed value to choices. Number/currency fields are for user input.

I'm trying to set a price for a purchase field so I want to select 'fixed' then add the value but it is stuck on 'user input' and when I try to select the 'fixed' the following message is returned 'The selected price type is not valid for the purchase field. The changes will be reverted' why is this happening? How can I add the values to my items?

Hi,

I have a request from Worldpay (the payment gateway for my site) which I have narrowed down to the following question

- If BC uses XML requests then does it point to https://secure.worldpay.com/isp/merchant/xml/paymentService.isp The assumption is that it does as this has been a planned upgrade for a while and most software providers should already have updated but can anyone confirm if this is the case

It is basically third-party services that is actually system of computer processes that process verify and decline or accept credit card transactions on behalf of the merchant through secure Internet connections.
