Hi John,

Can you tell me what operating system you're using, and what version of Photoshop (CC, CS6..?)? Also, are you able to successfully login using the Creative Cloud desktop app? Free Creative Cloud | Download Adobe Creative Cloud free trial

If you can successfully login with some other desktop software, you should be already logged-in when the Exchange panel loads.

I am asked to enter my Adobe credential every time I try to download any extension but nothing happens when I enter my user id and password and click on the login button. The process just goes away with "Loggin in..." message and just hangs displaying "Logging in..." message. My computer is based behind the proxy (something I can't change) so how do I download ANY extension when I can't even login. I can easily login to my account page on Adobe website but can do it from Photoshop when I try using Adobe Exchange form.

Any suggestions?

What do you mean you can't get it back? I would expect Illustrator to be listed on the "Apps" tab in the Creative Cloud desktop app, and you should be able to click Install from there. Is it still showing as "installed" or "up to date"? Perhaps a restart would help to refresh the list of installed programs.

If something has gone wrong during uninstallation, you can make sure the old installation is completely removed by using the CC Cleaner tool:

Yeah, but it won't let me download now. I'm getting the free trial button, which is doing nothing, except open my little cloud menu at the top of my desktop. AI is still listed there, but I uninstalled it and now I can't get it back!

I used it before just fine. Now I'm uninstalling AI and am going to re-install, but your website is down! So I'm now stuck without Illustrator and freaking out.

and Mac 10.9? So everything is the same on your environment e.g. same version of Illustrator, same version of Mesh Tormentor 4.0.1.?

You may need to get in contact with the developer of Mesh Tormentor 4.0.1. to verify that the version of Illustrator CC works with the plugin.

Hi,

I am having the exact same problem with an Illustrator extension, so it's obviously not an app-specific problem. I have tried re-installing the plug-in, checking for any kind of updates, etc. I did not get any errors when initially installing the plug-in. I'm using the Adobe CC products on OSX10.9.3. Is anyone having any luck fixing this? Please share! Thanks.

What happens when you do this?:

Open Extension Manager CS6
Click on the menuFile -> Install Extension (in Extension Manager CS6)
Select the ZXP file downloaded from here http://www.adobeexchange.com/api/AdobeExchange_cs6.zxp

In your 2nd screenshot you show running Extension Manager CS6. When attempting to install through Extension Manager CS6, what messaging are you seeing?

An alternative way to install the ZXP is:

In Extension Manager CS6, click File -> Install Extension, and select the Adobe Exchange ZXP (which can be downloaded here: https://www.adobeexchange.com/download#download_panel)

Adobe Exchange Panel is for CS6 and CC apps. It will not work in any CS5 or earlier apps. You will also need Extension Manager CS6 to use the Exchange Panel with CS6 apps like Flash Pro. You can download Extensions Manager here:

Hi Deepak_artist,

The Adobe Exchange panel is not compatible with CS5 - therefore you can't install it with Extension Manager CS5. Please install Extension Manager CS6 (Adobe - Exchange : Download the Adobe Extension Manager) and then make sure you open the Adobe Exchange Panel ZXP with Extension Manager CS6.

I can't see Color monkey as a publisher name. Is that what you have as your account name. Go into www.adobeexchange.com/producer then click on the little head icon in the top right hand corner and choose account. What do you have as your publisher name. If you want it to be colour monkey this is where you need to enter it. See screenshot. so in this example the publisher name is JONATHAN FERMAN.

If you can let me know when this is done I wi;; upgrade your account to unlimited. I am happy to do this for any producer that wants it, for FREE!

When trying to enter my FastSpring Key I get the following message:

We're sorry, but something went wrong.

We've been notified about this issue and we'll take a look at it shortly.

This has been happening for a few days. Is this going to be fixed soon? I am unable to put my product on Adobe Exchange because of this issue.

We have updated the our ZXPSign lib( which is responsible for signature validation ). Hopefully you don't need this workaround( disabling Internet access in Extension Manager CC ) anymore. The update of Extension Manager CC will be released soon.

Regarding your question about the SSL certificates management, Extension Manager does not maintain or manage any certificates. It just depends on the OS certificate library.

I am having the same problem on the Mac OS X flavor of the "Extension Manager CC". I was able to install the AdobeExchange panel by disabling internet access in the Extension Manager. The problem is caused by the way my company's firewall/proxy works. All https traffic is decrypted, logged, and re-signed by the local trusted CA. In order to get the Adobe CC software management tool to work in this environment, I needed to add our certificates to the Java keystore (cacerts) that Adobe CC ships in its embedded Java.

When I hit this problem in the Extension Manager, I tried to find a similar file that needed to be updated. However, I did not find one. I'm not sure how the Extension Manager manages its SSL certificates, but that is probably the problem that I'm having.

I have the latest photoshop CC installed, & extensions manager for CC. I cannot for the life of me understand why after installing Russell Brown's paper textures, & watercolor assistant extensions, they show installed in the exchange panel as installed, but not in the drop down window>extentions !

I have ran the extensions manager program & it says they are enabled! but no where to be seen with the PS CC window>extensions !

Can you please disable Norton and repeat the update process.

Norton will be preventing a licensing check from Extension Manager and it will also be preventing Creative Cloud to update.

Jonathan, thanks, but that it not working for me. I show to have CS6 Version 6.0.7.6, not shown as an update on the page you gave me the link to. Additionally, I would think I would need the CC version anyway. The CC installer asks for it to be updated when I open it, and then I get an error message with no reference number as to what the error is; it says:

We’ve encountered the following issues:

Please connect to the internet then try again.

I would appreciate some more help.

Sorry to hear you have been having issues. First thing to do, I would suggest is to launch Adobe Extension Manager if you have it. Check what version you are running and then download and run the updater or the installer if you do not have Extension Manager installed from here:

If that does not work, let me know and I will get one of the engineers to look into it.

problems getting exchange to update

I am trying to use Adobe Exchange; have never used it to date.

Running PS CC on Windows 7; Norton installed.

After trying to open/use Adobe Exchange, it prompts for Update, then "installs" a new version, but really it doesn't because then the message comes that I need to launch Adobe Extension Manager (required) to install this extension.

My options are Yes or No but No just stops the process.

Yes gives this message:

"You must install a newer version of Adobe Extension Manager to install this item. Once the upgrade is complete, you can install your item from the 'My Stuff' tab.

Would you like to go update Extension Manager now?"

Yes to that prompt takes me back to the invitation to Update for the latest features. That was were I started before.

Sometimes I am invited to update Creative Cloud, which fails and tells me to connect to the internet. (Obviously I am already connected to the internet).

What is wrong here?

One solution, if you are running an Extension Manager version < 7.2, is to disable internet access:

In Extension Manager go to:

Tools > Preferences > uncheck Allow Extension Manager to access internet

Restart Extension Manager and retry installing the extension.

Ok, so do you have any firewall that could be restricting a license check by Extension Manager?

If not, could you set up the following logging:

Create a file called 'ExManCoreLibLog.YES' and place it in the following location:
- WIN: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CC\Log\ExManCoreLibLog.YES
Then create a file named 'ExManLog.YES' and place it at:
- WIN: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Extension Manager CC\ExManLog.YES
The logs files are generated and saved in the following location:
- WIN: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CC\Log

Then try to install the panel again. If that fails, try opening a CC point product and opening Adobe Exchange (Windows > Extensions > AdobeExchange) and attempting a self-update.

If these all fail, please gather the logs and send them to me at lesavage at adobe dot com

Can you:

1) Navigate to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CEPServiceManager4\extensions and delete the directory AdobeExchange

2) Open Extension and remove AdobeExchange if it is in the extensions list

3) Download the ZXP from www.adobeexchange.com and install through Extension Manager CC

Does that fix it?

Hi Gaurav,

Ah - this might explain what the problem is. Usually there will be a folder called Library in your Users/<username> folder - but it's a hidden folder, so won't necessarily show up in search results.

In Finder, can you try clicking Go -> Go To Folder, enter ~/Library in the box and click on Go? Alternatively, you could open Terminal and type "open ~/Library" [return]

If, in that folder, you find Application Support/Adobe/CEPServiceManager4/Extensions/AdobeExchange - this could be the older version of the panel which is prompting for an update (you should try removing this).

You might also find a log file in /Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Exchange/adobeexchange.log.
