adobe edge new update iphone / ipad video not working. I am using embed html5 code

I agree. Adding the video is easy, Im just shocked that abode have created a product that doesn't enable you to view mp4 on ios. If you have any suggestions please let me know as Ive been stuck with this problem for several days.

I hit the same snag. Just downloaded Edge 2014. One big update is how easy it is to use HTML5 video. Not so easy on iPhone.

I am saving the same probelm, whereby my videos open and play on android and mac (chrome & safari) but will not play on ipad/iphone. Instead I see a blank/black empty box with no play feature..

If you read the Apple documentation, this is a design feature to prevent data overages for their cellular users. The video playback must be user-initiated (e.g. via a touch or a click) instead of autoplayed through the trigger.

So are you saying a trigger event on the timeline won't start the video on the iPad?

I have a timeline trigger that plays a video fine on browsers, but on the ipad i just get a play symbol with a slash through it. Not sure if i have the wrong video format or it is an issue with general playback on ipad/iphone?

If you do have to trigger it with an on click event- can you show an example of the code on a button to call the video?

There is no way to autoplay a video on an iPad.

You need to start it manually, i.e. add a play button and play it on click.

at the end of the code

and this : "<video width='518' height='357' autoplay='autoplay' >" +

(...)

on the part of the embed video code

both work on my computer but not o iPad.

How did you write autoplay attribut ?

Videos on Safari and iOS.

Videos HTML 5 by google.

Ok, my bad.

I added controls and it work on iPad. (controls='controls')

But autoplay attribut doesnt.

iPad does not understand this attribut ?

I've got a problem similar to this one :

I'am playing a video file (mp4) on an animation made with edge.

The video start at a trigger position.

It work fine on my browser on my computer.

but the video doesnt start on iPad.

I work with DPS.

The animation is included like an HTML page.

It work exept the video.

my video is embed this way :
