It´s incredible that Adobe has not fixed this bug. Live preview does´t work in Edge Code for over a year!!!

Problem with LivePreview mode solved!

You need to open your files as a folder:
File -> Open Folder

Than it works great and refresh without saving page

If you're still having problems with Live Preview I'd encourage you to try Preview 4 when we release it on June 17th. It's got a number of fixes for some of the issues we've seen around getting Live Preview to work.

Hi, I just noticed something, I had a folder that wasn't working with live preview, it contained two files : sitename.html and sitename.css.

I just renamed the CSS file "style.css", changed it in my html file, reloaded the editor (cmd+R) and tadaa! Live preview works again... So my guess is you have to call your CSS file "style.css"... Or I just got lucky...

Sorry, but I can't really comment on the features in Dreamweaver. Dreamweaver and Edge Code are two different products. Edge Code does not have a design view, instead we rely on the connection to the browser to preview design, so Live HTML / CSS is important.

We haven't added any integration with Edge Animate to date, but we plan to eventually integrate Edge Code with all of the Edge tools and services.

Why didn't they just add this feature to Dreamweaver? Also is it connected and interacted with Adobe Edge?

Tentatively, we are planning a new update to Edge Code following Brackets sprint 17. It will be available via the Creative Cloud some time after 11/28 (hopefully not too far after). It will include all of the features in Brackets through sprint 17 (including HTML Live Reload) as well as support for Edge Web Fonts.

The general rule of thumb is: only the contents of .css files are updated in real time as you're typing, in the current version of Live Preview. To see anything else, you must save your changes and reload the webpage. In the latest version of Brackets (and therefore the next upcoming release of Edge Code), we make this a little easier by automatically reloading the page when you save.

Down the road, we'd like to make .html and .js update as you're typing too -- we're just not there yet. Here are the user stories tracking those future features:

I don't think so as inline style is still part of the HTML and not the one CSS agent is watching.

HTML and JavaScript content changes won't show up in Chrome yet for Edge Code. Brackets just made this work in Sprint 15, but you have to wait for the next Edge Code release to get that.

We don't have a trouble shooting page for Edge Code yet, but you can check Brackets trouble shooting page to fix the issue you're experiencing.

I've recently downloaded Adobe Edge Code and noticed that the live preview doesn't work when i edit it and i also checked the source code and sore that it didn't change. The icon in the top right corner is yellow, i am using Windows 7 and Google Chrome.
