This terrible Application Manager...

I hate that terrible Application Manager. Or the Update Manager. Or Installation Manager. Or whatever name it wants to have that pretends a functionality it doesn't do very well. After some initial fuss with the CC installation back in the summer, it seemed to be running fine for a while. But the recent December 11 update brought it back to the usual state of cluelessness and helplessness that I'm used to...

This time it was partially my fault. I truly thought I had not downloaded the Photoshop and Illustrator updates yet, so it seems to have done that automatically. So when I frantically tried updating them (through the menu), the AAM showed no available updates. Trying to download and install the updates manually from Adobe's Product Updates webpage was also -obviously- in vain. The installation said "This update is not for you" or something vague like that. (I would thankfully have accepted it if it told me "You already have it, dumbo".)

But looking further into the parade of these updates, I noticed that the Edge Animate and Muse updates were NOT installed ! AAM didn't have a clue and Edge Animate didn't warn me. Only Muse prompted its update (upon opening) and swiftly installed itself.

These processes would be much easier and more comfortable if that stupid AAM would be clearer and less error-prone. It could at least show some version numbers and dates, so I can see what versions I have and what might be available. BTW, why aren't the Edge and Muse updates mentioned in that Product Updates webpage at http://www.adobe.com/nl/downloads/updates ?

And why not inform users properly at the Creative Cloud page at https://creative.adobe.com/apps ? I have to go through a carroussel of banners at the top of the page, to find this crucial update information. And again, some version numbers and dates would be helpful here, too.
