Actually my statement is all about Adobe and may sound harsh but i rember when Adobe acted like my best friend and was eagar to be helpfull and took an intrest in what we thought and asked questions. It was not that long ago that Adobe had sopme lay offs nut my point is the truth like it or not and is not about individuals it applies equally to anyone below the line. If the cloud is to be sucessfull then Adobe will no longer need any kind of quality rep like. You and any onbe else on her that is staff. All the black and red golf shirts and trade shows. No need for them either.

If it fails then Adobe has promised wallstreet tons of growth. If that growth is not there because the existing costomers are angry and going to be led like cattele to slaughter. Nop the Adobe costomer for the most part are a very smart group of people.

Anyhow in that scene with the stock trading at 15x earnings. you will be under 20 and could go down to about 10 unless there are some layoffs.

So my point is very valid Adobe and aall of its emloyees need us more than we need them.

As I recall it was not the first "response" post, I could be wrong and if so that's fine. I have nothing against you Ken, yet I feel you're rather ramped up towards me. I guess we can at least agree to disagree, it was pretty tame and not harmful in anyway to the thread as I think anyone reading it will agree. Also there are plenty of other threads/posts that have occurred with questions over the years and lately directly relating to the Creative Cloud that did not garner the same negative attention and went un-deleted with similar comments by others.

But regardless, enough of this as there are plenty of current threads to be attended to with paying Creative Cloud customers having "serious" problems needing solutions, instead of us furthering this discussion.

Again, see my subsequent reply dicussing how for the customer it took 5 months and 14 support tickets to get a "helpful" response / resolution from Adobe. My initial post was merely the same sentiment summed up in less descriptive verbage. Each instance merely being "critical of Adobe" which you have said is fine and each stated the same result.

The customer in forum post http://forums.adobe.com/message/5301497#5301497 had a problem. Yes a serious problem. It was resolved.

The reply from W_J_T was the first reply to the original post. It was not helpful for resolving the problem so I removed it.

Again, being critical of Adobe is fine. But if a customer posts a problem and the first reply is not helpful I will remove it again.

Bosses, family members, friends, etc... Everyone is a critic of how we live, and how our design work is interpreted. Its called life. Unless you grew up within a bubble, I do not see how you can escape from criticism. My family and education had prepared me to confront adversity.

Here is the kicker... Even though I agree that we should respect other people, the statement he posted didn't contain flaming. Andrew didn't call them names, nor did he downgrade them in any manner. It was a very innocent jab.

As someone who works in the graphic design industry, I am surrounded by hardcore critics on a daily bases. While I have heard the best and worse in criticism, I normally just let it roll off my back. Its apart of the business.

We are all grownups, right?

David and Kevin can defend themselves on an intellectual level, so why not let them approach the poster with tact?

What Andrew said was rather innocent. You cannot blame people for being upset, nor can you police how everyone feels.

If you think about what he had posted, Adnrew does make a valid point. Unless Adobe keeps their prices down, Adobe Cloud will meet the same fate as Quark Xpress. As a result of Quark selling Quark Xpress for $1,000, Adobe Creative Suite's low cost bit at their market.

Now, everything is reversed. Adobe Cloud is now the overly expensive product, and Quark Xpress has become the economical option.

Quark Xpress didn't go away.

Adobe keeps forgetting that everything goes in cycles.

Even though one company is on top, another company is always waiting to take their place.

Approximately twenty minutes ago, I signed up for a one year subscription to Adobe Cloud. I also grabbed an upgrade copy of Quark Xpress. If I am not going to be able to open my files, after the subscription has expired, I will move everything over to Quark Xpress. Since I have kept up with my purchases of Quark, I managed to get their latest upgrade for free. I have also been trained in Quark Xpress, so I have no problem with dumping Adobe InDesign.

Once I convert all of my files over to Quark, I will downgrade my Adobe Cloud subscription to one application. Adobe Photoshop CC will be the only software, which I will need a subscription to use. Quark Xpress does not require a cloud subscription.

Adobe made one big mistake. Quark Xpress still exists.

As for my post it is not vulgar rude or anything like that. It is my opinion that the Company Adobe cares as much about you as it does me. And that while you recently got some stock options they will be worthless by the exercise date. The market will see that we the costomer are angry and not going to pay. i do not wish ill on you I hope the next software company that comess along has some integrity and you find work. I do however look foreward to Adobe going under like Blockbuster and Quark. Both companies that got greedy and gouged us. I think the sooner the better.

Ps ultimatly the hand that feeds you is me and the other costomers, Not Adobe. I know you need to keeep your job and that the employee stock program are nice. But If we refuse to buy from Adobe your paycheck runs out. if the cloud was a hit your job would not be needed anymore because Adobe will be like the ATT, the Gas co DMV etc no competitior.

What does Adobe care?

They've raised prices over 100%. They've removed choice from the consumer. They are a monopoly for creative software. What could possibly stop them from heavy handing their customers into these all-or-none subscriptions? And then once they have you at that rate, they can just raise the price every year.

So down the line IN the event they "mend their ways", issue a worthless "apology" and resort back to traditional methods, they'll have milked the community during one of the worst recessions ever.

That's funny (peculiar, not haha).

I have Photoshop 13.01 and the bug fix for the checkerboard pattern in Liquify is only in Photoshop 13.1 (creative cloud only).

Even though it has been 10 months since I raised a question about it and was promised that it was being worked upon; so they have a fix but deliberately chose not to issue it for non-CC customers.

As it stands, I still use CS5 as my daily.

I will NOT be subscibing - full stop. I will stick with my copy of CS6 for as long as I can and if, at that time, I can't buy Creative Suite outright I WILL move on to other software. Creative Cloud - 100%, rock solid guarentee that I will NOT be a part of.

Which software is it, which more and more use subscription modells?
I once invested in a master collection and trusted a big company.

A software I can use years after date of purchasement.

Now I have to pay on or loose the ability to open my files.

Have tons of work done with it.

And now I HAVE to follow this politics!

Yes they force, as they exactl know, they are monopolists.

But I think and hope this will not become a success.

Everywhere I look into forums I only can find a few Pros.

Most are negative.

If this should be "customer friendly" - tell me one point, why they can´t sell their cloud optional.

urdaddi probably also believes companies like Apple and Microsoft should make the decisions about what we lowly consumers should want and need instead of asking us for our opinion. Those companies decide what we need and when we need it and now Adobe is joining that philosophy. I have been a user of Photoshop for some time but will be looking for a replacement-any ideas?

In the audio industry Waves tried this, and the reaction from the user base was negative (just like the reaction is to CC). Essentially, nothing has changed since I responded earlier. As you know, it is a deep architectural change that would need to take place to fix the bug. It is not a trivial task for the team.

Again, I am advocating for this fix for users, however, I implore users to file a bug report here: http://www.adobe.com/go/wish

That is your best avenue for getting the bug fixed.

I can't speak to the specific issue that you're referring to as I'm not familiar with it, but I've reached out to my colleague to see what insight he can provide.

but first Adobe should fix all bugs in CS6. they took users money for something that does not work as it's supposed to (i.e. Premiere)

Urdaddi, that's incorrect. If you bite the creative cloud lure once, you will be hooked forever. You will have to keep paying Adobe until the day you die, if your old project are dear to you. That's insanity and will eventually lead to Adobes downfall. People will look for and find alternatives.

I felt the same as Dave when I first read the message. But on the other side, I think, as a University staff member, the prices are very reasonable, so I'd give it a try... at least for a month.

I like the CC, but the price increase really sucks! I've canceled my membership.

@urdaddi, they are forcing us to use the CC if we want the latest upgrades. They are no longer selling the software, I like to have a physical copy of my software.

Are you KIDDING me????? I just read an article in Studio Magazine, and it stated that Adobe is FORCING us to subscribe for the software that we have been paying for. I Do NOT... I repeat... I DO NOT want to buy a subscription based software. Are you listenting Adobe???????? Read the blogs, FaceBook, etc, and I would venture to guess that about 90% of the people agree with me... We DO NOT WANT YOUR CLOUD BASED products!!! I've been a HUGE supporter of Adobe since the early versions of Photoshop. Don't "shaft us" Adobe. Listen to your base supporters and customers... I really don't want to change vendors after all these years, but I will stop buying your products if you force us into something that WE DO NOT WANT!!!! Are you listening Adobe?????
