Wow Ronald, that is great news !

So there's no need to uninstall an apllication before installing a new one with a different language resource, like Adobe is advising in all kinds of support.

As a trainer and consultant, I often need to check things out in English and Dutch. The installations of recent CS versions didn't allow multiple language resources to be installed on one machine (a legal and technical matter, that could be fooled and tricked). But it seems that this new and easy setup might work. The legal and technical barriers are being lifted !

Installing is one thing - actually using the language is another.

Some applications like Photoshop, Muse, and Acrobat simply offer a interface language setting in the Preferences. Others like InDesign, and Dreamweaver respond to the System's Preference setting for the interface language, sometimes also requiring the user to log out and in to their system again, and not just quit and restart the application.

It's a mixed bag of procedures, but at least it works.

Hello Peter,

I don't know about multi-lingual subscription. I subscribed for Photoshop. The dropdown box for choosing a language was set to English(North America). Which is the default I presume. I didn't touch it just proceeded with the download.

That's all. Afterwards I installed in the same way except for choosing Dutch language this time.

So yes, I have them both installed on the same machine but can of course use only one version at the time. If I want to switch language I go to Preferences and choose the other language:

I then have to close and restart Photoshop to have the changes take effect.

Regards,

Ronald

I have Photoshop CC in both English AND Dutch. In Photoshop's preferences I can switch language. After restarting Photoshop it's in the chosen language.

A customer who I've been helping to cross the bridge and get CC, told me that they were still having some trouble with changing the language settings. I explained them it would just be a matter of uninstalling an application, setting the language preference, and install the application again. But after trying, they wound up in a myriad of verifications and activations, ending in a Trial state of (some of) the CC software.

So they called with support, for hours and hours, and eventually they had it working again. But during these calls, the staff told them that they needed to stick to the language of the purchased (English) CC Upgrade, and weren't allowed to set any application to a different language (Dutch, when available of course). Other language versions could only be used as a trial (30 days).

I can't believe that's true, is it ?
