I am having this problem as well, only on my iMac, it seems to be ok on my laptop. I was using Suitcase Fusion 4 yesterday, and installed Suitcase Fusion 5 today, but no change. Today I turned typekit on and off in creative cloud and it seemed to fix them.

I have the same issue. Everytime i restart computer, the typekit fonts won't sync when opening an indesign file. I would have to remove font and add it back for it to work. I've also tried signing out of adobe creative cloud and that works as well. Please fix issue!

Do we have this problem fixed yet since I have to launch Creative Cloud app before opening any Adobe apps to get the fonts to work?

On OS X:

* Open the Finder

* under the Go menu, select "Go To Folder"

* in the window that opens, type: /Users/(username)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CoreSync/

Remember to replace "(username)" with your own account name.

(Or if you are comfortable working from the Terminal, cd to $HOME/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CoreSync/)

On Windows:

C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CoreSync\

Attach the 3 or 4 most recent CoreSync-yyyy-MM-dd.log files to an email. Please don't send a zip file, as they often get flagged as spam.

I have the same Problem on OSX 10.8

My synced Fonts disappear and neither logging out and logging back in nor unsync and syncing Fonts again is working.

Is there a Solution for that?

Suitcase Fusion 5 is not Adobe software - http://www.extensis.com/suitcase-fusion/.

The Creative Cloud application does several things: installs desktop applications, notifies you of and installs updates, handles Typekit fonts, handles file syncing, and connects with Behance.

I think we're talking the same thing. I assume when you say "Creative Cloud desktop app" it is just labeled as "Creative Cloud" when you run it from Windows. Yes, it works fine if I launch it once before opening a document that uses a Typekit font. I wouldn't normally run it, as it doesn't seem to be needed for anything else (other than updates).

I'm not sure what Suitcase Fusion 5 is, but I assume it might be something installed by Adobe as part of the CC suite? I don't see it in Task Manager.

Hi VCOR,

The Creative Cloud desktop application does need to be running in order for the fonts to be synced to your machine. If you quit the app, they won't be available until you start it up again.

I just wanted to check that this is the behavior you are seeing? Please let me know if I misunderstood, so I can pass the details on to the team.

I was told by typekit support the issue is a conflict with Suitcase Fusion 5, which disables the fonts after restart. Complicated, hey? I hope everyone works together to resolve the issue.

I'm getting the same problem, but running Windows 7 SP1, so it's not an OS specific issue. If I open Creative Cloud and login first, then the fonts are available to inDesign when a document is opened, which is a minor hassle. Hope it gets resolved!

InDesign CC v9.1 x64, latest update available.

Hi Liz

i've just sended my logfiles to the support team.

Note:

I do have a second installation on my macbook pro with the same account and versions (os 10.7.5., cloud 1.1.2.232) where everything works just fine.

Could the hardware or the access rights causes the problem? I do have only problems on my iMac (system+programm running on a SSD-Disk).

Thank you for trying that, Marcy. Would you please send over your recent Creative Cloud log files, so we can look into why the fonts are not active after you reboot?

On OS X, they are in the directory:

$HOME/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CoreSync/CoreSync-yyyy-MM-dd.log

Yes signing off and then signing back in worked. Easier than removing and then redoing the fonts. But still not ideal.

Hi Marcy,

I'm sorry that you ran into trouble with this. Would you please check which version of the Creative Cloud application you're running? You can find this by clicking the gear on the app, then choosing Preferences > Account.

And have you tried signing out of the Creative Cloud application and signing back in, instead of removing the fonts? That may also get the fonts to sync to your machine again, and would be an easier workaround while we figure out what is happening here.

Everytime I restart my mac, which is every day, the installed typekit fonts disappear from the font list. They are still showing up in CC desktop (which was just updated). The only way I've been able to get them back is to remove them and then go get them again. This is very discouraging and I hope the bug gets fixed soon.
