I know how to create a text frame on the one page in that document. I want to import an RTF file into that text frame and have it automatically generate as many pages as necessary to hold all the text.

Can you show me step by step how I would find help in the jongware documentation to accomplish this? I'm not so much looking for the code to do it, but rather how to find the help I need in the documentation to at least try to write the code myself.

Thank you!

Dan

I need to write a VB.NET program to execute scripts in InDesign CS6. I've figured out how to add a reference to the COM library, start InDesign application execution, and use DoScript to execute a script I have saved in the application Scripts Panel folder.

I've had trouble in the past finding my way around the documentation in the ExtendScript Toolkit to find out what functions and parameters for those functions are available to my scripts. I'm sure the documentation is all there, but I've found it difficult to use. Is there a way to record a script in InDesign by carrying out the steps in the GUI of InDesign to get the shell of a script to start with to do a certain task (similar to recording a macro in Microsoft Word)?

Thanks!

Dan
