Thanks for the clarification, Rod! Gosh, now that I re-read this thread, it's crystal-clear to me what you meant, and yes, you were absolutely right about iSpring output.

Indeed, while iSpring output does, in a sense, "adjust" itself to the size of any screen (and there's a built-in interface to verify this immediately without having to grab a smartphone/tablet/etc.), truly responsive fluid-grid-type stuff isn't part of the bargain. The iSpring player does self-modify its own button interface, but the PPT content itself should be carefully designed from the outset to be ready for any device (if such a feature is needed).

Vijay, if authoring tools like Captivate and iSpring truly don't satisfy your responsive design needs, then you might just have to bite the bullet and do it from Dreamweaver (goes without saying, another fantastic Adobe product).

Yes the results DO certainly speak for themselves. The HTML5 Nervous System demo that you attached is NOT responsive design.

The iSpring output IS resizable, which Captivate's output also does (and has had for some versions now).

But where Captivate 8's responsive HTML5 output differs from the example you give above is that it has breakpoints for different viewports and at those breakpoints you can define entirely different screen layouts. That's what "responsive" means in the new web terminology.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the iSpring authoring tool does not provide true responsive output, even though its output DOES resize to the width of the screen, while still retaining the same overall layout and aspect ratio of the content.

Am I missing something here?

I think you are mistaken that Storyline gives true responsive HTML5 output. I have Storyline and as far as I have seen it still retains the aspect ratio in output. The content does not have a fluid grid.

I just checked on several of the iSpring Pro website demos and I haven't found one yet that was a fluid grid responsive design output. Can you direct me to an example of iSpring output that is truly responsive HTML5?

Thanks for the quick answer. iSpring Pro 7 gives responsive HTML 5 output. indeed, its a powerpoint to HTML 5.0 conversion, everything should be done on MS PowerPoint. I think Articulate Storyline also gives responsive HTML 5 output, but needs a player to play view that course. Any how, there are many things to invent as far as the HTML 5.0 output from Authording tools is concern.

There is no way to create truly responsive design e-learning with fluid grid layouts using Adobe Captivate or indeed any other Rapid eLearning Tool that I have seen.

You would need to code your e-learning from the ground up using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The Bootstrap framework is probably your best option for fluid grid HTML5 development. Forget Captivate if you absolutely MUST have full responsive design.

I have just tried using the adobe captivate 7.0, i expected responsive HTML 5 outout from it. But, its giving an HTML 5 output which is of fixed width and height that defined when we start working on CP 7.0. To have the courses on my new website, alljobs99 i need to responsive HTML 5 output, how can achieve this, is there any other way to do it? please help me.
