Has anyone found a solution for this? I have the same problem and nothing in the forums has solved it.

Thank you Vikram. I have followed your instructions.

Below is the error message (screen print) that I continue to receive when attempting to publish to Word.

The Word version I am using is Word for Mac 2011 Version 14.4.2

When attempting to publish I have an open blank Word doc opened.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Please try enabling root user & try to publish from root user account :

From the Apple menu choose System Preferences....
From the View menu choose Users & Groups.
Click the lock and authenticate as an administrator account.
Click Login Options....
Click the "Edit..." or "Join..." button at the bottom right.
Click the "Open Directory Utility..." button.
Click the lock in the Directory Utility window.
Enter an administrator account name and password, then click OK.
Choose Enable Root User from the Edit menu.
Enter the root password you wish to use in both the Password and Verify fields, then click OK.

Hello Jim,

Which version of MAC are you using (Click on Apple button -> About this MAC)?

Please make sure you have Adobe Captivate 7.0.1 update installed.

I am having the same problem publishing handouts from Captivate 7 to Word 2011 for Mac. I followed your advice above (except for the "root" user setting which I am unsure about). Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Welcome to Adobe Forums.

Make sure MS Word 2011 is running and a blank document is open, while publishing Handouts from Adobe Captivate 7.

Also if possible, enable "root" user and then try publishing Handouts from Captivate 7 from that account

Some times it will and sometimes it won't. Been happening more often this time. I am running OS X Version 10.9.3.
