Thank you. I now know that Elements 12 will convert raw files from our new cameras by using the links you gave. I take your point about staff needing to be paid but think Adobe could support a product up to 2 or 3 years. Thanks again.

Adobe only updates their current versions of software when adding cameras. You’d like to buy one piece of software and have free updates forever, but Adobe employees need to get paid so they require upgrading to support new cameras if it’s been longer than a year.

Many thanks for both your replies, I will try both the DNG converter and a trial of 12. I think it's cheap of Adobe not to support Elements 10 and provide download of converters for newer cameras.

you can always download a trial version of PSE12 to see if this is what you are after.

It should but sometimes you need to update the file (if the camera is relatively new when the software was released) by going to:

Help >> Updates

For your PSE10, have you tried using DNG converter to see if you can work with them?

Elements 12 raw converter

Does anyone know if Elements 12 has a raw converter for both Panasonic Lumix FZ200 and Fujifilm Finepix HS50EXR? I'm currently using Elements 10 and it won't convert raw files for either of these cameras. If I know 12 does then I'll upgrade. Would be grateful for info.
