Creating a game progress bar?

Everywhere I search this there are tutorials for creating a progress bar of the loading of the game. I'm interested in creating a progress bar within game, so if an answer is answered correctly the bar increases, if it's wrong it decreases. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If this is really simple and I'm not seeing it then sorry in advance!
