Just use 11g. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Coldfusion 11 can't connect to the oracle 12c container/plugin database design.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It connects to&amp;nbsp; the container database all right; but not so much the plugin.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;If you use an oracle database, you'll&amp;nbsp; want the security features like label security.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I read somewhere that Label security only works on the plugin; not the container.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;If CF11 can't connect to the12c plugin, what good is it?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Just use 11g. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:e810bcbf-eb87-4c8d-ac48-ba3476cbe507] --&gt;&lt;img src='/beacon?t=1415921100951' /&gt;</description>
