Your html document must to have a stylesheet linked, if you don't will always have the same problem.

Edge Code is tailored for the Creative Cloud, but for those like yourself who can customize their setup (and don't mind doing so), Brackets is probably a better option.

so isnt it better to use this in gerneral then? i have the extension of edge inspect in brackets installed as well...where are the advantages of edge code then?

Yes, Brackets is updated more often than Edge Code.

Chrome v34 removed the `CSS.getAllStyleSheets` API call used by Edge Code. We are working on posting a new version of Edge Code CC.

Until then, you can download Brackets Sprint 37 from http://brackets.io/ and use that.

Hi Ingo,

I have the same problem as Adwiz describes. Also on Mac Pro width OS X 10.9.2 and Chrome 34.0.1847.116. Edge is up to date.

It doesnt matter if i first open Edge, press live preview that wil open Chrome, or if i first open Chrome and then the Live Preview button. Both same result: Live Preview Error: unable to load development page.

Im using Edge for a long time now, yesterday suddenly this happends. Ive already restarted my mac, also redownloaded Edge. None works..

When i open the console of http://127.0.0.1:9235 what you suggested, there is one error:

'CSS.getAllStyleSheets' wasn't found Object {code: -32601, message: "'CSS.getAllStyleSheets' wasn't found"}

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Ingo. I am trying to do the "Getting Started" project, which is where the behavior of my system doesn't match that shown in the project.

I have been loading Chrome before opening Edge Code. I always get this message:

In order for Live Preview to connect, Chrome needs to be relaunched with remote debugging enabled. I then click the "Relaunch Chrome" button and it relaunches and opens the project.

I tried entering the localhost IP you suggested and it now works as advertised. Not sure how that made the difference, but thanks for your help.

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear that you have issues using Live Preview.

Do you have Chrome already open when you start Live Preview?

Did you try with Live Preview with the "Getting Started" Project?

Could please open Chrome and enter http://127.0.0.1:9235 to bring up the dev tools for EC? Can you see any error in the console?

When I run Live Preview with Google Chrome 33.0.1750.152 it tells me

Live Preview Error : Unable to load Live Development page

My version of Edge Code is up to date. I've opened the files as a folder. I was going through the tutorial which shows that the preview updates as you type but mine only updates when I save, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of using Edge.

Any suggestions? I'm running on a Mac Pro with OS X 10.9.2
